- Unsure In SeattleI don't know if it's a scam, or a collection call. I don't care which. When I do a reverse phone search this comes up:
L A Ketscher
626 Hills Valley Rd
Squaw Valley, CA 93675-9702
(559) 332-2306
What I do know is I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know and I would never enter a credit card number on an automated system that isn't listed on my credit card statement. You probably shouldn't either! - CharleeDid not answer
- janelIt IS Capital One. I am past due on my account and they are also calling from 800#.
- Caller: Capital One
- Call type: Debt collector
- JudyI got a call from 559-332-2306. I didn't answer and they left a text message along the lines of "This is Linda from Capital One and we have exciting opportunities for you..."
- CreativekslSo from reading this thread some people say it's Capital One and others think this is a scam. Could Capital one be using a third party debt collector? My bill was due on the 4th it is now the 7th I am late by three days and I just got this call. Could be that since credit is tight now a days issuers are using every tool to receive there payments.
- tigreI received a call from this number this morning but they didn't leave a message. I called the number back and it claims to be Cap One but all their contact number are 800 numbers.
- annoyedSo i have been getting two or three calls a day from this number for the past couple months, and it says there is something they can help me with and need a call back. How do i get off this list, or from this number!!
- Caller: CA, USA
- MelissaThis was the first time I got a call from this number at 8:45am this morning and I live on the east coast and it came from Squaw Valley, CA. What the heck? I am current and do not think there should be a reason for Capital One to call and if it is a scammer. We need to get this reported but HOW? Help Please!
- Levigot called today claiming to be capital one..
- Caller: ''capital one''
- DawnI recieve these calls several times a day. I DO NOT have a Capital One credit card, or any other accounts with them! I had one that I closed 3-4 years ago. My calls are from "Linda" with some opportunities that I may be interested in. I don't answer.
- Caller: Capital One
- Internet surfer replies to SuzanneThis is defintely Capital One and I am behind so I know why they are calling.
- RichWe received a call from this number and found the same address. My son does have a Cap1 account, but we generally hang up when contacted by a computer. There was a computerized message to wait on the line and I chose not to wait. It is unfortunate that we are getting calls (real or fake) on Sunday morning... definitely not business hours.
- Caller: A Ketscher
- Tonigl| 2 repliesI keep getting this number on my cell phone!!! I do believe it's Capital One. I'm signed up for both home phone and cell phone "do not call list"..So far, it's not working. If it keeps up I will sign a formal complaint.
- glen| 1 replyIm getting the same calls 2-3 times a day the ID says its from 559-332-2306 squaw, valley,ca saw this is a scam.i told one of them that i saw this was a scam and when i did they hang-up.it was not 23 mins they called back.i have no call but they still do.i can i put a stop to it?
- Philip| 1 replyJust got a call from this number. Didn't answer. I'm getting killed with a bunch of unrecognized number on my mobile phone. None of my credit card companies have my mobile phone number so if it is someone saying they are from a credit card company, I suspect it's a scam call.
- FredIt is Capital One. I think they hire a bunch of third party debt colletors to call and try to get money. There are alot of third party colletion "agencies" that work straight out of their home. (I saw it on the news so I know). As far as the cell phone calls, I too get them. I think all this information is availible for the right price online. Not much you can do except for making a formal complaint or if your cell phone has the block list option, add them to your block list. That's what I did. Problem solved!
- MattWe called this # back and got an automated message asking for your full credit card number which my wife made up. Then they asked for your entire social security number. After that info is entered its dead space. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION THEY ARE TRYING TO STEAL YOUR IDENTITY!!
- shirtpocketThis is Linda at Capital One and we have some great opportunities for you......WHA?
- Caller: Capital One, CA
- Call type: Unwanted
- AmandaI thought it may be Capital One. I don't give out my cell number to many people, but I also don't answer calls I don't recognize. My husband answered for me one time. Fortunately he speaks some German. They didn't know what to say! Good thing too, cause he only knows a few phrases! LOL!
- LindaI am getting these darn phone calls several times a day with several different phone numbers, mostly out of Southern California. It started suddenly and when they do leave a voice message it's Linda or Debbie with exciting opportunities from Capital One. I am on the Do Not Call registry but I don't know how to make them stop. I have Capital One credit cards but I am not behind on any of my cards. It is so annoying.
