I got a call from this number and it showed as Private, so I let the machine pick up.  Someone kept breathing VERY loudly into the phone, but never said a word.  This went on for at least 60 seconds before they hung up.  I could hear other telemarketers in the background and heard "GE."

I have 2 family members and myself receive a call from this number.  The weird thing is all the numbers are unlisted.  I feel they have somehow tied our numbers together.  Does anyone know what they want?  Have they ripped any one off?  What is their purpose?

This is a phishing scam call from Florida.  Telemarketers doing the dirty work for any scammers that will pay them. Block the number from your system and report them.

Had a phone call asked for home owner and when I asked what it was regarding they hung up.   The person called herself Ashley.

I finally got tired of all these 800 numbers calling my home phone asking for ANYBODY, so....I activated my fax machine to FAX ONLY.  Got it set for 3 rings.  When caller ID displays UNKNOWN or any 800 numbers, the caller gets a fax tone.  I now have complete control to answer  the calls I recogonize

Just received a call from this number, i was rather busy soi sounded a bit frazzeled when i answered the phone, i said hello twice and no one was there

we all have something in common out there, same bank, credit card, polical party or something. My friend and family don't get these calls. I'm getting about 10 a week from some bs scammers... I know that canceling a newspaper of any kind will start the phone ringing.. They can get your phone number and name just by visiting a website. The interent marketing bs is crazy keylogger send info to collection site that check out what your searchig for and it's only going to get worse...Hey the world is so full of peopel trying to screw you(including goverment) it's crazy.......I'm going to disconnect my phone or change number, it just gets old.....good luck on not getting taken by some one.

scammers tried to scam me something about a ge sercurity system as soon as i said sounds good "henry " handed me off to another scamer. i asked what country he was in. it took him awile to think about it

I have my phone set to forward to my Google Number which I use to filter out any unwanted numbers and then the rest get forwarded to my cell phone. This number and a hundred like it are now on my Block list and they will hear "We're sorry; but the number you have called is not in service etc" Thank you Google for finally giving us the ability to do the same thing we've been able to do with email for over 20 years!!!!! I keep hoping the telecoms will eventually catch up to todays technology.

How can I block them?
Anybody know a place to report them to?

This number is tying up all my phone lines at work. It is disrupting our business.

1-561-300-8724 unknown caller.... I answered knowing it was going to be a scam, said he was from GE and seeling home security if I like to have one spoke broken englsih my reply

No I am not intrested in it, I already have one as well as a pitbull also my husband is the cheif of police in our town, so I suggest you remove my number from your list he was stuttering did not know what to say I hung up on him told him to never call me again!

OH I just hit call back on this number and I get a recording says

I just received a call from #561-300-8724.  It came up as "unknown" on the Caller ID.  They called our cell phone this afternoon also.  This call came in at 7:54pm.  The machine picked up and a man with some sort of accent kept saying "hello...".  He must have said "hello" about ten times before hanging up.  He did not leave a message, that is a proper message.

The caller from this number today left a message that was just a few mumbled sounds.

I just got a call - didn't answer - no message - and I called the # back - get this one - it said "number not in service"  How'd that happen???

With AT&T you can dial *60 and then #01# to block the last call. If you don't have AT&T, check with your phone provider how to block calls. AT&T lets you block up to 10 numbers. Then you can start deleting the first ones and start over again since maybe the first ones have given up by then.

Received two phone calls.  First on I ignored, next one I answered and no one responded, so I hung up.

Same happened to me, I've gotten 3 calls same routine, mine came from RI.  So annoying...asked them to take me off the list and called again.  They were very rude.

Just received a call from this number on my cell- no voice at other end.. they hung up after few seconds. Glad to have found this discussion.
BTW- my cell phone is on the do not call list.

I just received a call from this number and I could barely understand what the man was saying. He had a very thick (India-maybe?) accent and identified the company as "Home Safety Network." I asked him to repeat what he just said and he rudely replied "What the hell, this person cannot hear me. Great. Idiot." Then hung up. I'm the idiot? Nice.
