Same MO as everyone else. Call no answer when you pick up. I'm getting several calls a day from this number which I have now blocked.

They like to call, let you do your greeting and hang up after 10 seconds of silence. Really? What is the point of calling just to hang up? I really rather them not call at all. So annoying. Thought somtimes yes a recording will happen where it is a lady talking about having your business's website put into google search engine. I just hang up

Checked this out:  It is a scam.  They want to sell you the same "access" to Google you can get for free, just by asking Google. Creeps.

Robo call saying this is Trisha with Google.  She has been trying to get in touch us and its very important we get back in touch with them as we havent claimed our spot.  Press 1 to speak to a google rep. Scam.

Robo Trisha calling from "Google Places" with a very long pitch on how I am losing business because my web page is poorly positioned. "This is your last chance." So, I pressed 1. Live person "Chandra" knew the business name. She asked my name. I gave her a faux name. Then she asked if I was the owner. I said "no." She became testy scolding me that "Only the owner should press 1." She hung-up. As it happens, I do not have a web page. Oh well.

Just an observation: in all the various listing for over a hundred phone numbers entered at 800notes.com I have encountered only few listings in four or five  threads where some one sign-up and was ripped off. The critical point is that it so rare that anyone lists the who of of name/co/ etc. The complaints where there was a listing from those scammed were connected cruises, charities, credit card merchant services, and poor experiences working for the merchant services companies.

... its unbelievable .. 3 calls this morning and 2 were these telemarketer spam calls.

technology is making it too easy for these annoying calls and for them to hide who they are...

This place continues to call us to be listed in Google search results. We called them and they told us they would continue to call until they speak to the owner (despite the fact that we asked to be taken off their calling list).

These people are the scum of the earth.  They are adamant that they MUST speak with the owner of the company in order for our number to be removed from the calling list or that they would keep calling and calling. They were absolutely abusive b/c I was female and answering the phone.  Am a co-owner.  We don't need this grief.  We already manage our own Google accounts.

Called, but there was no one on the other line.  Fishing to see if this was an active number I'm sure.  They will probably call next week to bug me again with some sales pitch.

They call and you get an automated voice saying in a very concerned voice that our google listing is about to expire bla bla bla.  I pressed 1 since pressing 9 to be removed doesn't seem to work.  Got a person who surprisingly spoke good English!  She wanted my name (I wouldn't give it).  I asked her for her full name (she wouldn't give it); asked her for her company's name (wouldn't give that).  Asked for the address of her company - she hung up.  I called back (yes I know, stupid to do that).  Got "Raymond"  he wanted my name (didn't give it).  I asked what his company's name is - he said "Cyber Center."  Sounds like a toy store.  Told him to remove our number.  He said he would.  Could hear a lot of other people in the background.  Doubt they'll stop calling though, but I do keep a list of these bogus #'s at my desk.  When they call, I pick up and quickly hang up (otherwise it goes into our auto-answer system).

I called to ask these people to stop calling and they just laughed in my face - they have no idea if you've claimed your Google listing or not - third party SPAM calls.  I am getting these calls from many many numbers - yesterday from 312-583-7895 and it's 2 or 3 days later and the number is already out of service... I always try to answer my phones for customers and these creeps are a total suck on my time.

Called our home number about 4 pm.We did not answer and they did not leave a message. We are on state and federal do not call lists.

I have a couple of ways to deal with these parasites. First, I let the phone ring three full times before I pick up. I pick up and don't say anything for 2-3 seconds. If it is a computer autodialer, 80-90% of the time the computer will hang up thinking it has gotten a voice mail or answering machine. After 2-3 seconds, I say our company name, but don't give out my name. That way they don't automatically have a name if they call back and get someone else. If I still get a person and they insist, I tell them my name is "Richard Smith"(it's not). It is none of their business what my real name is, they are telescammers who are breaking the law. If they persist in calling over and over again, I tell them that my boss is available, and then I use a sports air horn right next to the phone. What are they going to do, sue me? "Your Honor, I was illegally telescamming and they deafened me!" Good luck with THAT argument. The judge might give me a medal. Reporting these "people"(I use that term loosely) to the Do Not Call Registry is futile, they are usually spoofing their phone number anyway. If you have the time, have some fun with them. See how long they will stay on hold or still be on the line if you put the phone down. Take your cordless into the bathroom and have an extended "deposit" at the Porcelain Bank, complete with very loud fake sound effects. Tell them you ARE the boss and listen to their sales pitch, never saying yes to anything, but always saying that you will look at your numbers and see what you can do. Some scammers will record any affirmative answer you give and then splice it into a call and bill you for whatever they are selling, using that as evidence of an order. Waste as much of their time as you can, because that keeps them from scamming other people, and it can be a really fun stress reliever! Anything that we can do to make this less profitable for these ticks on the butt of humanity is a plus. Feel free to pass this on or add to it with your fun ways of taking back your phone lines. If these idiots would get a real job, the world would be a better place for all of us.

I keep getting robocalls from these maggots. I have told them to stop repeatedly

Claimed they are Google Places. i asked the person what it was about and he said my business. I asked what was it about again and he hung up.
