- KathyI have received several robo calls and finally waited until a person came on the line. I told him I dont do business over the phone and to take my phone number off their calling list. He hung up on me...I called the Attorney General's office in Oklahoma City and spoke to a very nice woman. She herself has gotten calls from this number....She spoke to a man and also asked to be removed the their list....He told her in order to do so she would have to call a toll free number he gave her...She call the number and he got a sex line...Bunch of sickos....It is a scam...Because the move around it is hard for the states to file charges on them...It needs to be a federal law...Then maybe something can be done....
- Caller: visa and mastercard something
- GwenRobo call from “Rachel,” with “card services.” The usual stuff: Nothing wrong with your card, this is your final notice to be able to lower your interest rates, dial nine to speak to someone about lowering your rates. Hung up. In the past (about four or five years ago) these things have started shortly after some online credit card purchase, and they escalated to extreme harassment and, eventually, to small charges showing up on the credit card statement. I believe those are a kind of test, to see if it works, and if the cardholder is paying attention or not. I knew to watch out for them (always check the statements closely anyway) after looking the phone number up online and finding discussions amongst other folks who had been through this. One man reported that, although the calls referred to “the card ending in,” and gave the correct last four digits of his card, they probably did, in fact, already have the entire card number, as he got a couple of small charges on his bill, which he had removed (as did I, when they showed up on our bill).
Back then, I'd gotten the same line from the live person, with the correct last four digits (although the wrong name, as the online purchase that started all this was made in my name, on my mom's behalf, with her card, so these fraudsters thought mine was the name on the card—another tip-off). The spiel said we were eligible for this lower interest rate because of having made an online purchase from “one of our partners.” After reading about that man's card being successfully charged, I called the credit card company and was assured there was no way anyone could charge to our card, with only the last four digits, and not to worry. So when the charges did show up, maybe that meant they actually did have the entire number. I started to report the business to the fraud dept. at the credit card company, but that would have started a long, difficult process that would have meant big disruption for us, so we simply had the charges removed. Apparently the credit card companies are accustomed to this stuff; not sure if they just absorb the costs, or ever go after these con people. Very annoying. The calls went on and on, with live people trying to get us to “claim our prize,” and us continually saying no, leave us alone, we're on the do-not-call registry, etc. They really don't care. Very bad news. Just be sure to really pay attention to your credit card statements.- Caller: Don't know

- drI saw that the phone number originates from Attica, OH. I called the police dept there and talked to a Sergeant there. He said they get a couple of calls every couple of months about them. He said this has been going on for a couple of years. He said they have never been able to track them down because they are using throw away cell phones. So, the best thing we can all do is just spread the word, especially to the elderly that are more likely to trust these SCAM ARTISTS. It needs to be plastered on the news more, when we can zero in on areas that they're in.
- Bob Knapchuckhahah. I called them back and told the guy from India, that I used to work there and I had "inside information" that the FTC was going to raid the office in 30 mintues and he needed to shread what he could.. I heard him yell something in a different lanugage and I could hear panic and the words :hurry hurry.... at keast for a few mintues I got pay back!

- Terry FroncekI received a call a few minutes saying that I had responded to a letter to lower my credit card rates. I told them I did not respond to a letter and not interested.
He said they work with all financial institutions to lower mastercard/visa rates. - tbGot a call. They hung up when I said, "Hello."
- rexokcThere are several unscrupulous companies that seem to get away with flagrantly disregarding the Do Not Call laws, but these morons are the absolute worst! They call me at least once a week, at all hours of the day and night, with the same recorded message about "lowering your credit card interest rates." They even called at 9:00AM on Thanksgiving Day! If you press the option to speak to a live agent to tell them you are on the Do Not Call List and ask them to stop calling, you are then connected to someone in India (of course!) who just laughs in your face, uses filthy language and hangs up on you. (The one I spoke to last night said he would f**k my 6-year-old sister with his nine inch c**k. Unbelievable!) And of course they just keep right on calling. I have registered complaints with the FTC as well as the Attorneys General in both Oklahoma (where I live) and Ohio (where their main number appears to be located) and they all tell me the same thing - that these are well-known scam artists and I should just not answer the phone or refuse to give any information and hang up on them. But these crooks seem to suffer no consequences whatsoever. What is the point of having a Do Not Call list of obviously nothing is being done to enforce the law??
