We just got the same response, this time with a PA address stating he wanted us to remove our ad ASAP and that he would send a certified bank check and send his shipping co. to pickup our product.  Soon as we saw the certified check mentioned and out of state customer, we researched and found this ad.  Thank you everyone for posting and that you Craig's list for your Certified Check warnings.  This kept us from falling victim.

I got the same one but the number was 575-551-7180. the name was Barb ramon And the bank was PNC. They would not pay by paypal. The address was new Mexico and I am in Ga.

The guy is still out there (May 14, 2009), now calling himself as Robert Hanes. A simple Googling of "his" information lands me to this site. BEWARE!

I am also reporting this guy to Craigslist. Where he originally responded to my ad to Craigslist San Francisco.

Same as all others.  I saw this and replied with my middle finger.

They are using 3 names now - Joel Mark, Melissa Sindela and Kelly Clack.  The address they are using with this phone number is 453 21th Strt Sq, Los Alamos NM  87544.  Same story, same e-mails.  Beware!  If you accept a cashier's check from these people, the bank will cash it (as it looks real) and a few weeks later, when the check bounces, YOU will get notified from the bank and YOU WILL HAVE TO REPAY THE MONEY!!  It is hard to lose your faith in mankind, but with these kind of scumbags operating, you do.  Please be very careful when you are selling/buying to never send money or accept money via the mail.  Demand cash and a face to face.  And remember....what goes around, comes around!  :-)

I had same thing and i even told him fuk off scam and guess wat he reply to me ...am not scam am real blah blah ..lol. This is what i got from him when i ask to pay by PayPal..


It was issued from my Company Global Account and funds was sent with the cost shipment via my private shipper this is because the amount i placed with a cancemy company is a refund for cancelled order and been a refund it can only be written on a single check so that is why i want you to receive these amount and send the differience to my shippers which will serve as payment for the shipment,so once your bank verify and clear the check you will deduct your funds and send the excess funds to shipping company C.E.O so as to make them prepare every necessary document for the shipment and arrange for a pickup. Let me know when you have the check printed and scan me a copy of the check.
