600 area in Canada, I've had over a dozen calls

True, 600 may be a Canadian Area Code, however the 233 portion doesn't appear on that table.

These guys are horrible.  I lied and told him that I work for Microsoft security and they hung up immediately.

I just received a call from this number and when I asked to take a message for my boss, he told me "you can f*@# off!" and hung up on me.

Doesn't this moron know that there's such a thing as CALLER ID?!

BTW: His name was Jose` and he spoke such broken English I could barely understand him.

I am getting call recorded every day from this number. When I call back it is not connected. What to do?

I have been receiveing calls repeatedly fromthis number.  they don't answer they put on  music then eventually hang up.  This has to stop.
I do not know the name of the company.

I'm getting the same thing...it just started this morning on my office phone...goes to vmail and all I can hear is music playing (bad music and LOUD)!

Just got a call from this number and it was an Indian-sounding guy and he started by asking "Are you aware that you have malicious files on your computer?" I replied saying yes, I know. Then he asked, sounding surprised, "Why are you not taking good care of your computer?", so I said "I am" and he hung up on me.

@~4:35pm  ... 1-600# ?  Let it ring.  Left no message

Ottawa ~ Already heard about this scam so I challenged the caller. He hung-up!

Caller was hard to understand - sounded Nigerian.  Said he was working for Microsoft and my computer had infections and would crash very soon.  I asked what country he was calling from and the call was disconnected BUT he called back and wanted me to go to my computer.  I refused and said I was hanging up.  End of story.  I had received this type of call before.

I just received a call from this number telling me that he's from Microsoft and I'm getting 3 to 4 error messages per day from my computer, the weird thing of it all is that I'm home maybe once a week. The guy was really rude and yelling. I told him that it was a scam since he didn't want to give me any contact info for Microsoft. Finally I hung up twice and he kept calling back didn't answer the last call. Personally if I had error reports it would show up on my screen so I can send the report to Microsoft

Just got a call from 'Steven' at 'EcoTech(?)' saying he was calling about my computer. I built my PC and led him on a merry chase before finally laughing at him, telling him to 'bug' off and hanging up on him. I feel sorry for the people who get taken in by this, why isn't this stuff illegal yet?

Just received a call from this number.
They claimed they were from Microsoft and that they kept getting error reports & it is being caused  by virus, trojans and malware.
I interrupted him and told him I would go take it to someone to get it looked at. He said no, you are not listening to me. SO I told him "I will get it looked at, even though you are trying to scam me". And hung up.

The douche called me by my maiden name (and mrs at that, I was never a mrs with my maiden name), however my computer & everything is registered under my married name. Definitely a scam.

He called saying he worked for "Ecotech" and my computer was corrupt and I needed to put some code into my run in order for him to show the corruption.  I told him I didn't trust the sounds of it and eventually hung up on him after he started rudely fighting me on it.
Thank heavens I hung up after searching the number and finding all of this out. Crazy!

Received a call from this # on 6/24 at 6:18 p.m.  Identified himself as being from Medicare and asked if I would participate in a survey.  At first said no.  When he insisted he was not trying to sell me anything, I said ok.  His first question was regarding my age.  That is when I hung up.  If he was infact from Medicare, he would know my age without asking.

I also had a call tonight around 9.00 p.m. from a woman in India telling me I had a malicious file on my computer. So I decided to string her along and feigned interest at which point she transferred me to her "senior". Since this is the 2nd time in a week I've heard from these people I thought I'd have a bit of fun with him and grilled him as to who he was representing (a partner with Microsoft), how did he know I had a malicious file (his company were surveying computers in my area), why should I follow his instructions to hit a series of keys on my computer (because he wants to HELP me). After about 5 minutes of his nonsense and a very bad VOIP connection, I told him I had some information for HIM - I wasn't using Windows, I was on OSX. He hung up.

I got a phone call from this number.  I did not answer and they left no message.  Interestingly, the read out on my cell said 911 before the 600-233-1234.

I see that they are telemarketers.  Glad I did not answer.

Just got a call from this number a few minutes ago. I too got the 911 before the number. I didn't answer as I will not answer calls from numbers I dont recognize and they didn't leave a message. Probably a scam.

Obvious scammers who need to be shot on sight.  If my Grandfather answers he could possibly accidentally reveal information that could allow them to damage his credit or rip him off in some other way.

I'd honestly love to meet them in person and offer to rearrange some of their features.

They have called numerous times.  I do not answer because they do not leave a message and their
name is unavailable.
