I.C. System Collection Agency - also known as Intelligent Collections I.C. Collection Agency Mailing Address: I.C. System, Inc.
    444 Highway 96 E
    Saint Paul, MN 55127-2557
    I.C. Phone: (651) 483-8201 or (651) 204-1220 or toll-free (800) 279-7951, I.C. Intelligent Collections Website: www.icsystem.com Email: consumeraffairs@icsystem.com, Ms. Barbara Erickson, Chairman (Principal)
Who is I.C. Systems Collection Agency? If you're getting harassing like phone calls and letters in the mail from a company called I.C. System (Intelligent Collections), here's what we dug up about them.
It is a collection agency (apparently been around for quite a while as it was founded in 1938). It's corporate headquarters are in St. Paul, Minnesota and they have a branch office in Fargo, North Dakota. One of their more than 1,000 debt collector employees may have contacted you at some point.
If I.C. System's debt collectors are coming after you, then you probably have an old consumer or business debt that's not settled. Among its bag of tricks for collecting money from you are credit reporting - placing a charge off or collection on your credit report, skip tracing, and litigation and non-litigation attorney referral. (This means they will could sue you for unpaid debt.
According to it's website I. C. System specializes in collecting for hundreds of telecommunication and utility companies, so if you skipped out on paying that phone bill from your college apartment, I.C. System's bill collectors know about it and may come after you!
Most collection agencies out there are "junk debt buyers", which means they go out and purchase a bunch of debt for pennies and try to turn a profit. However, I.C. sometimes acts as an "internal collection office" meaning the debt is still owned by the original creditor.

    Beautiful debtor
    2. Do it yourself

Bills.com offers a debt self-help center that can help you solve your debt problems on your own for free. Step one is to obtain a copy of your credit report from each of the three credit bureaus. Do not contact the three nationwide consumer reporting companies individually. Instead, go to AnnualCreditReport.com for no-cost, no-gimmick copies of your credit reports. Alternatively, call (877) 322-8228, or write to Annual Credit Report Request Service, P.O. Box 105281, Atlanta, GA 30348-5281. You may order your reports from all three nationwide consumer reporting companies at the same time, or you can order your report from each of the companies one at a time.

Check your reports for the action items. All the bureaus now have provisions to dispute items online, but in most cases you will need a copy of the respective report and other information to do so. Once you are ready, contact each of the three bureaus at the contact information provided below:

    Former IC Systems employee
EMPLOYEES POORLY TRAINED; SUPERVISORS AND MANAGERS PATHETIC
IC Systems Complaint by Unethical practices

I am a soon to be former employee of this company and what they do in that place is horrible. They push people who need jobs to be pushy and rude and demanding. If you are not compliant with these standards you are written up and shown to the door. You can not trust the supervisors and they are dishonest unprofessional people. Several of the sups are tattooed with gross tattoes and are allowed to display them. There is a dress code; but, the tattoos are at the top of the list. They are gross; but, IC system believes they are acceptable.

If you call there and ask for a supervisor, the supervisor skirts the call. That is why you land in their voice mail,. You can ask a sup to help with a call and you are told no'. It is a strange environment!.

This is not a company you can trust;. The computer system is a mess and you cannot trust the processing!. When a mistake is made it is automatically assumed the employee made the mistake and then they go straight away to write up the employee". The computer system is not reliable|. I found errors in the process.. Now, all those poor employees who have been written up....well, the company would never admit their poor system....they will hurt a person before they will admit the error was on the part of the processor...

It is a sad sad place.....oh, they are now recuperating from lawsuits lost.....They have been downsizing and now trying to recover...

If you have a lawsuit...file it....these people need to know people are important...and they should hire qualified people as supervisors instead of low lifes.....sorry...but it is true...

I do not know if the upper management really knows what goes on.....if they do, then it is a skanky company....

Sue them if you can.....they treat their employees like crap......

I dont have any outstanding medical debts, but have recently begun receiving calls from this company. Its strange (or is it?), but I will get a call at my home phone & if I dont answer, a call from the same company comes to my cell phone - it seems to be pretty automatic. I say this because the 1st time I got a call from them at my home #, I picked up, only to hear a message telling me to wait on the line for an 'important call/message/??' or something. Honestly, I was busy & didnt have the time to receive an 'anonymous' 'important' call. If it was that important, I'd think an actual person would call me, no...?

So, I hung up before a person came on the line. The minute I hung up, (literally, the minute I hung up), my cell phone rang. I picked up (stupidly, maybe, but when a call came in so fast after I hung up, I thought maybe something important *did* come up), & I got the same annoying message asking me to 'hang on'!

The next day, same thing happened, but this time I didn't answer either phone. No messages left on either.

Just now, this happened yet again, but I happened to be here at my PC, so when they called my house phone, I put it on speaker & immediately went to this site to look them up. I was already reading posts here, & I was *still* on hold waiting for someone to tell me what the... **** this 'important messsge' was! So, I hung up, & immediately after came the cell call. This time, a person finally came on but kept asking if I was Fran____?' & I just asked, 'who is *this*?' She gave me her first name & asked if I was so&so again & I told her, 'I still dont know what company *you* are calling from, so I can't tell *you* if I'm so&so' & hung up on her.

I mean, is this really the best way people know how to communicate anymore? Tired of garbage like this. IMO, it's very irresponsible for any company to use a debt collector like this (if that's what they actually are). - sorry if this is too long...

Called and left no message, I called back after researching number to find out what they wanted. I talked to someone named Carrie asked her why they called, she said it was an automated dialing system. I told her to take my number off and she kept trying to confirm if it was me and I told her I would not confirm unless she told me what I was being hassled for. She kept trying to confirm and I repeatedly told her I would not. She then said have a great day and hung up. Why should I confirm who it is if they won't tell me why I'm being bothered?

I have written in re this company before (Sept 12)... I keep asking the same question 'Why should I confirm who it is if they won't tell me why I'm being bothered?'. I now know what this company is calling about since they sent me a letter & yes, it was an old medical debt that **had already been paid** several months ago. So when they called again today I did answer & got a live person right away. She went thru this entire spiel of trying to confirm MY info. I stopped her & told her that 'I know what this company is, I have received your letter in the mail, Im NOT going to confirm anything with you, Im telling you that I received your letter & that this is a bill that was paid many months ago...'

she interrupts to try to confirm my address again...

'I just told you that I received your letter, why am I confirming my address?' (duh) 'Im not confirming anything with just anyone who just calls me... other than what I just told you.' (seriously rolling my eyes at this point)

she asks me 'then why won't you confirm your address? I dont understand why you are being so vague!'

I mean, really... Really? At this point, these people are lucky that I was even willing to confirm my name & that I received their (expletives deleted) letter!

This is absolutely annoying. If you are on the do not call registry, why is this allowed? Numerous calls per day, don't leave message.  Out of control.

Only pay if they will delete the debt from your credit report. Get it in writing. Your score will not improve by paying the debt.  If they want the money, make them work for it.  I am learning a lot and starting to protect my self.  Let they prove first the debt is yours... don't listen to threats.

This is the way how a debt collector annoying people. They try to bother you to the point you cannot tolerant anymore and finally give them money. Actually, I don't even owe a penny but they still call me so often with different numbers.

I had a Verizon phone from my former employer. When I left I took the phone without knowing a long term contract was tied to that phone number. When I got my first bill, I noticed at the bottom of the paper saying there is a fee $170 if I stop the contract. I called Verizon next day to express my concern about the contract since my new employer already gave another phone. The conversation with Verizon's business woman ended up very unpleasant. So I cancelled my Verizon phone right away and paid my phone bill. I refused to paid $170 cancellation fee. That's why I started getting phone calls from all different debt collectors. The I.C system is the third one, of course, the rudest and worst.

After I called the first two debt collectors to dispute, they stopped calling me. I called I.C. system to dispute, a man who picked up the phone hanged up once I told him I didn't have debt.

Here is the lesson I learned from my very first time of "having a debt". Don't be scared or angry when you are annoyed by debt collectors. They are usually rude, trying to threaten you to ruin your credits or send you to the court etc....Just stay calme and keep disputing if you have a ethic reason not to pay whatever they think you owe. Keep the records and record the conversation. Should they really bring you to the court, you won't lose. In my case, it takes them way more than $170 to bring me to court, not evening mentioning there was a contract or agreement from the beginning between me and Verizon. My credit score is over 800, $170 won't do a scratch on my credit.

I asked this number to stop calling looking for people who don't live here. They change the people who call and when asking for a supervisor they hang up. I spoke with a Mary today again I ask for the 30th time to not call my home. God knows someone must close this company down.
