don't call me 8:30pm! or anytime

This is a scam. They are not Shaw. We got a call at 9pm from 60 4 629 888 (with intentional spaces). They are calling from a number in Malaysia. Malaysia has a weird phone number system. Their country code is 60 and they add codes for different areas (Georgetown is 4) and some older numbers are only six digits long 629 888 HENCE 60 4 629 888. Which LOOKS like Shaw but is NOT. Be careful!

They are trying to upgrade my package and reduce my bill by $12 but charge me $79 to upgrade and "save" me money.  Well we don't have $79 to throw away right now.  And they keep calling.  This doesn't seem very shaw-like to me.

I also have been getting calls and they seem to have outdated information about my account (wrong services and bill totals etc). Sounds very much like a scam to me. I notified shaw about the validity of the calls.

Just received a phone call today from 60 4 629 888 and didnt answer.  Phoned Shaw Cable to confirm wether they had phoned me or not and he said no, the number has to many spaces and that to not answer the phone AS THEY ARE A SCAM!!!!!  They say they are from Shaw Cable BUT THEY ARE NOT!!! ... So people are aware, local number for Shaw Cable is 604-629-8888 NOT 60 4 629 888!!!!!

They hang up every time I answer.WTF!!

Man this is starting to annoy me!!! getting calls from 60 4 6298 888.. I have ignored it a few times, hoping they would leave a message.. and twice I have unintentionally called and there is just.. dead air on the phone.. whats up with that?

How did they even know I was a shaw customer anyway??

I keep getting phone calls from +60 4 6298 888 everyday! I have answered a few time and no one speaks. I called back twice and I get a message saying the number I am calling is not in service. Definitely a scam. For the moron having issues with companies outsourcing customer service to India, why wouldn't they? They save money and don't have to a dumb ass like you who can't differentiate a real company promo from a scam.

i want this number to STOP phoning me immediately - they are waking me up and it is becoming harrassment - calling me at 9pm when i am asleep is REALLY annoying - STOP PHONING ME!

I'm getting the +60 4 6298 888 call twice a day for the past 7 days. Haven't picked up once, but whoever it is seems pretty insistent. I wonder when it'll stop...

I only have cell i use Call blocker (free) and yes i am getting them too and no one answered get a free calling blocking program (if you your getting it on your shaw shaw home phone call them up and tell you want to talk to the head Manager and ask him for ANSWERS) , by the way i'm Indian so don't jump to conclusions that it's somebody from India :) If the guy don't help you go Midieval on his azz lol :) like 6 free months oif Shaw phone ! Oh btw theres a new scam if someone calls you and sends there from Microsoft and your computer is sending out tons of emails and they need to connect to your comp well hang up right away !

How do we go about blocking this number? Its really pissing me off, 3 or 4 times a day with no reply when I pick up.

Its Shaw calling from their overseas call center.  Answer it once and they won't call you again.

3rd party "John Q" or similar sounding company calling on behalf of Shaw cable offering personalized packages to reduce the monthly cost. Silence at the beginning of the call. Nice enough caller but I wasn't interested in paying more for a personalized package for the same channel selection.

It's originated out of Canada with country code +60. Be alert!

They spoke in the tune of Shaw Cable and know some of my basic info related with Shaw. That's really troublesome.
