Call SHAW and ask them if their call center is in India. I doubt it and he's giving you a story

TELUS tells me you can only block Canadian numbers. This is why you get so many American Telemarketers calling Canadian numbers, they know we can't block them.

this unidentified company calls repeatedly, late in the evening and on the weekend.  I do not know which company it is although others on the internet have identified it as Shaw.

Endless calls from this number. WHY???

yes  it is from  malaysia..We enquired about it..it is not SHAW.. this is  a scam.they call people and try to get personal info..pls dont give any info..

These phuckers call at 8, 9 or 10pm every night. I answer but there is nobody on the other end and after about 5 mins the call ends.

I googled and found this page plus the page that this number is displayed on Shaw Cable's website.

I called Shaw... they say nobody called my tonight or this week at all and the number is being spoofed.

I will check this out with Telus tomorrow morning.

receive three calls a day from this number.  Can not make sense of anyting on the other end.  Just a bunch of garbage.  If this keeps up Shaw can kiss my a--W7X4

I am a Shaw internet / cable customer, but I keep getting calls from this number (604-629-8888). They'll call early in the morning or when I'm working & am unable to take their call (i have my phone set on silent). I have called the number back, only to have a non-English recorded message that tells me "this number is not in service." This has been going on for the last 10 days. Annoying. My cell plan does not have call blocking - so I have to be subjected to this.

Stop calling me!  I don't want your promotion.

I've been receiving calls from this number every day. I've always ignored it as it shows 'Unknown' on call display. Finally had enough and called back using the number 604-629-8888. Shaw answered. I spoke to the Customer Service Rep and he advised that Shaw was receiving many complaints about these calls but they were NOT from Shaw. The are a SCAM calls from abroad and claim to be from Shaw. The phone number that they are using is actually 60-4-629-8888 but displays as 604-629-8888.

got a phone call from this number just now, the weird part is that we have an account with the company and the guy said that he can't find our account and he wanted all information from me....he didn't get any.
he was also telling me that we were chosen for this "great offer"...whatever it was....

I got a call that had no one on the other end say anything so I hung up, looked at the number it was pretty suspicious as it read on the phone +6046298888 which leads me to believe it is like what others have said, the number is essentially +60 4 629 8888 cause the particular phone I use will show +1604 in the front.

I'm going to disassemble whoever is behind this +_+

They left a 5 minute message on my voicemail. I'm going to answer next time and give them a piece of my mInd.

Its the sales team from Shaw. They deliberately harrass people at their homes and businesses with random phone numbers collected by their phone machines
They have been calling my personal work extension trying to sell their crap. I actually had to involve our legal team to get them to stop.
Shaw Cable operate on the same level as seedy collection agencys...the legality of their actions are not a concern to them.
Call the police next time you get these types of calls and make a report. The Better Business Bureau is another option, but they do very litte.

Got the call at 7:30pm today, I've been getting their call about 3-4 this week, every time they call I'm at work, finally today I pick up the call and waiting couple second before saying hello and some guy pick up on the other line. He said he is from Shaw and would like to offer me flat rate service of home phone and internet/cable. He asked me whether he called me on my home phone or cell phone.  I asked why? He didn't answer.  Then I told him that I've already with shaw, he than ask my number associated with the account. Then I just got pissed off and starting questioning him and told him off.  He got quite defensive and start telling me how unfortunate that I would missing this offer.  I was so angry at that and starting ranting online and emailing shaw, and twitter.  I bet he wasn't calling from Canada, he had an accent.

This is clearly a bot calling since the times on the calls are to the minute each day.  It could be Shaw or a spambot spoofing the Shaw Support number but since we don't answer unknown numbers on our home line, I guess we'll never know.  Here's the call log from our phone:
