This call made it through call blocker on 2nd try.  They said they were a student at my Alma Mater in CT.  When I mentioned that the caller ID said Janesville WI, they said "Oh, I'll have to tell my manager".  I asked if they were a student, why did they have a manager?  Said they were updating their records and need to ask me for some information.  I said that if this call got through their records must be up to date. They hung up...

Oh yeah, whatever slimeball scumbag scammer these callers are are using technology to try to get around NOMOROBO blocking.  First call was intercepted by my NOMOROBO service. Seconds later my caller ID showed the number 608-371-6666 with  Janesville Wisconsin identifier.  I NEVER answer my phone if I do not know the number AND I turned off my answering service months ago so that these wastes of skins won't even get a voicemail from my number because even a voicemail will let them know they are calling a real number and that just gives them more fuel to keep trying to call and to keep selling my phone number to others.

robo picked up the 1st call from 513-576-5761 one ring...gone.  5 seconds later I get a call from 608-371-6666 lady  has my name...I hung up...do not know how they got through but it is happening more and more real tired of this

I just got a call from the same number and they said they were from Computershare,calling about my vote on a stock I own. Scary!

They knew my full name and asked about a stock I am invested in. Supposedly inquiring about my proxy vote for shareholder meeting. I hung up on them. Def scam.

Got a call from this one on a Sunday, no less. When I answered, there was nothing but dead air and then the call disconnected. Lame.

My caller ID blocked the first call, after one ring.  The second one, ID'd as UCSD, which I thought was strange, since this # doesn't have a San Diego prefix.  A young, American male asked to speak with my husband (by name), and said he wanted to discuss alumni matters with him.  I told him that I had his number and my spouse would call back, if interested.  The caller said he'd have to call us back, since his phone system could only make outgoing calls.  I told him not to bother calling back, and hung up.  I've since learned that this number is supposed to pop up as "NOMO", from Nomorobo, as a warning of a scam, to those of us who signed up on the "Do not call" list.

Ditto here. Call blocker, then immediately this number. No message. Will let Nomorobo know about this number and also blocked on my phone.

Just called my land-line at 5:16PM.  Caller ID said 16083716666. A voicemail was left but no message.  Immediately before this call I also received a call from 513-576-5761.  Caller ID said Milford, OH.  Hung up after second ring.  I'm not sure if they're related or I was just oh so fortunate enough to get two simultaneous scam calls.  Adding both of these to my BLOCKED list.

Got a call from this number several times within the past few days. Just before 608-371-6666 shows up on the caller ID, 904-620-4433 for University of North FL shows up. Although the phone never ring, I called the number back and an automated message says: This is the public opinion research lab with the university of north fl......From the prior reports I see in this thread, the 608-371-6666 is a nomorobo number which I have. Glad to know it's working properly.

This is the nomorobo number to report a number that wasn't blocked.  If you have nomorobo and it picks up, they immediately call back spoofing the nomorobo number which they know can't be blocked because it's a legitimate number.  It's their answer to nomorobo-- spoof their number.

Caller ID is easy to spoof.  Another trick they use is to spoof a number that matches your area code and first three digits.  They replace the last four digits with an unused number.  It looks like someone with your same exchange is calling, but it's not.  Because every number is spoofed and they use lots of different ones, its hard (if not impossible) to block them all.  It's a waste of time to report these numbers because they are spoofed anyway.

Really! Calling on Sunday and the same number about window washing , surveys  who knows what. Do you think your post will convince anyone.if they politely call to check on a patient, they would dial the patient's number not robocall haft the population!

Got thru my NoMoRoBo  - asked for me by name and said they were from Greenpeace. Ah...really? As I've gotten calls from this number allegedly from other entities...
