Black guy saying our home qualifies for an energy program. Knew my last name. Caller ID said it was from Janesville, Wisconsin.

That is displayed  from the blocking service when a "live" telemarketer passes their captcha. The cid moments before is who called and you can find that in your phone service call log.

Call back to back several times now even with the call block on my phone.

Left message and said they had money they owed me and said my full name.

Four calls, message left states in reference to a former neighbor. When I called back I got "Thank you for calling NOMOROBO! Live person left message and messages varied. Last message state 0- by the live person, who also left his name, stated the call was being recorded. YaY. How very odd.

As others reported, our spam blocker stopped the first ring allowing prompting caller to switch to another number (608-371-6666), supposedly from Janesville, WI. The caller claimed to be from "the famous Gallup Poll" and wanted to speak to the person in the household having the next birthday because blah, blah, blah. I smelled a rat and, as usual, refused to give out or even confirm any information and told them not to call back. The caller was polite enough but, as I suspected, a con artist.

This is the number of the robo call blocking service. It shows up when a blocked caller immediately calls back before the system has fully dropped the previous call.  You can safely block this number to prevent recurrences with other robo callers.

608-371-6666 is what call blocker Nomorobo call blocker sends when their system is asking the caller to manually put in a number code so they know it is a real person calling. Otherwise, the call is blocked after one ring.

Garry Schultz (sp?) said they were going to be in the neighborhood and wanted to know if we wanted any home improvement work. He said we'd talked before. I told him we were on the FTC Do Not Call Registry and he was making an illegal call, but he kept on talking.

I asked for his contractor's license number and he said he'd give it to me when he came to my house. I said I'll meet him at the Sheriff's station and he could give it to me there. He said he'd give it to me there if I agreed to do some home improvement work. I said I couldn't guarantee that up front. He kept arguing while I repeatedly told him he was a crook. He told me he made a lot of money doing this. We kept jawing at each other for over 10 minutes until he finally gave up.

Just before this call I got a call from 562-655-7009, which was blocked by my call blocker. Immediately afterward I got a call from this number--608-371-6666--which is the number to report calls to the call blocker. Apparently the call blocker isn't going to block its own number. So I blocked the call blocker's number with my phone provider. We'll see how that works out.

I'm like some of the other comments.  Received back-to-back calls from this number.  I have nomorobo on my vonage account but this one came through.  Would be great if someone came up with a virus to send back to these idiots that would disable their system for a week and direct the authorities to bust them.

Called from a different number which nomorobo blocked, immediately called from 608-371-6666 caller ID Janesville WI, went to vm just noise in background for 6 seconds then hang up

This number called my home phone.  I didn't answer.  No message was left.  Hopefully, they won't call again.

It is a debt collector spoofing numbers.

11:28AM EDT, caller with strong accent ID'd himself as calling from Clean Water.  Had wife's name.  Clown.

Called immediately after 877-822-2928 was blocked. WIthin seconds got a spoofed call from 608-371-6666.  Call got through and this guy sounds like he is either distracted or drunk.  I asked: Who the heck are you?
He said:  If you are gonna be like that.. I said: Well, YOU called ME  and then I hung up.  These numbers have to be related.

Called again. Wonder if it is the same joker that caller earlier.
