Rec'd a call from Ms. Francis Williams stating her management saw my resume on Monster and she was asked to contact me to ask some preliminary questions before setting up an appointment for tomorrow at 9:30AM in Blue Bell.
She asked me a few questions that were clearly on my resume but she took no time to read. At one point I asked her if she were outside or driving with the windows open, her response was she needed to shut off the fan.

I told her I was looking for something in B2B industry. She implied that is what they do. Had to pry the name of the company out of her. I stated I would call her back either way to advise if I were interested in the interview. When I went online to find out it was an insurance company I called her back and stated I wasn't interested. I asked her why she didn't tell me what line of work the company handled she stated "I didn't ask her". Note: Caller ID showed her phone number as 267-419-8825, she asked me to call back on 610-279-4801.

Disappointed in Monster in the way they handle giving out information. I shouldn't be surprised.

Thanks everyone for these posts.  I got a call from Takea  for a benefits  coordinator position for the Hausman Agency.  I presently am in a totally unrelated field and couldn't understand why they would be interested.  So happy I checked!  Can't afford to waste the time or gas.

I had the same experienceand was given the same phone number. I was never told what the company did, they got my resume from career builders and pushed to set up an interview. After checking out this place on the internet, i tried calling the number and it was out of service. Beware of any company that does not disclose what the position is,and rushes through  the phone call.

    Another job seeker
I, too, received a call from this company, which the caller identified as AIL, saying she had received my resume through Monster.  I only applied to one company through Monster (I keep track of all my applications), and I would never apply to a company of the type represented by this call.

Trust in the Lord so you will never have to be desperate in your job search.

Received a phone call this morning from a Francis Williams. She was talking so fast on the phone I could hardly understand her. She told me that she was from AIL Torchmark. She spoke so fast, I had to ask her 3 times to repeat the company that she was from . The first thing she said was she wanted to meet with me tomorrow at 10am at her Blue Bell, PA office. I asked her what this company did and she said they provided benefits for unions. I asked her to explain further about this company and she got agitated with me. All she said was that this job pays $35,000.00/yr, bring a resume w/ references. I asked her about the training and she again spoke fast and was unprofessional. When I said that I could not come in for an interview tomorrow, she got agitated. I told her sometime next week would be a good time and she said real fast "how bout Tuesday? ya know I cant keep giving you more dates cause.. She could not even finish the sentence. I told her I would come in next Tuesday and she said ok but it might be too late??

    VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISORGANIZED.
    POSSIBLY A SCAM.
I looked on the internet and could not find the website.

Wow! I am so glad I found this site! I just got a call from American Life (267-419-8825) and experienced the same as many of you.  The person was VERY difficult to hear and there was A LOT of noise in the background.  She talked fast, saying they were looking for customer service managers and sales, and wanted to meet with me tomorrow at 10am.  Not until the end when I asked did I get the name of the company. The whole thing was sketchy and unprofessional, so I started googling. Glad I did!

Yes this is a multi level marketing scheme, the barely legal version of a pyramid scheme.  Avoid like the plague.

The woman said her name was Alecia to call her at 610-278-4801. But the caller ID said 267-419-8825. She said she was calling on behalf of AIL TorchMark.  But when I looked it up. It's American Insurance something. Thank you,  I won't be driving 45mins for nothing.

Received phone call asking me to come to an interview for several job openings. I was told to bring copy of my resume and references. Red flags went up when I ask ADA fro HR to send copy of job description to my email. Also she never gave the mane of the company. To prepare for an interview, you att least need to prepare using job description
That did not happen . I am glad that I always do research before attending an interview

I was contacted by someone who identified himself as Dean from American Income, (he didn't state that this was an insurance company, so you won't know until you do some investigating), he stated that my resume was found on Monster and that my resume went through Mr. Housman, (the director) and Mr. Cohen and they thought the managerial position was the best fit for me making $50,000.00 plus per year but they wouldn't say what position exactly, (who states the salary amount on the first phone contact?). Dean said that I would need to go in the very next day for a meeting and that the meeting would take 90 minutes and to bring 3 references that could be business references or personal, (no mention of a seminar).  I went to the scheduled meeting, at first it was a one on one then I was to attend a seminar, during the seminar I spoke to others they said exactly the same thing as above. There were about 15 people in the seminar and they were all told that they would be making the same salary and the same position. If this information was true how can a business stay afloat? I tried to call the web site number, 610. 277.9499 and could only leave a message in which no one responds to, it states that they are closed every day of the week except on Thursdays, (how can a business run with the main office being closed 6 days per week?). The person who interviewed me gave me his card and said to call his personal cell number, (the only 2 numbers were the web site number and his personal number). I called the cell number to thank him for the interview and it went directly into VM. When he called me back it was on his personal time with his kids as he stated. American Income wants you to get licensure to be able to sell insurance, (I think that part is real). I believe the insurance company itself might be real but how they go about getting contacts and hiring people is a scam, (its misleading). I would not purchase insurance or sell insurance with a company that misleads people in this manner.
