You are wrong about it not being forever, check the Information for Consumers on their website.  All you did by re-registering was open up a 30 day window when sales calls are permitted and you cannot file complaints. If you are ever in doubt about whether or not your number is on  the list, you can click "Verify A Registration" from the DNC website.  Besides, since this caller is conducting a survey that does not lead to a sales pitch or request for a follow up sales call, they are not required to screen against the list before calling.

You would think they would stop wasting their time calling my number.  They should put me on their own duct cleaning do not call list after the 50th call...  quack.

Sorry Chris - but that is pure and unadulterated BS - any so-called Polling, or Newspaper, or Political party can still call if you are on the DNC list. as well any scammer, Duct Cleaner, WestJet offer, Cruise winner, etc... will still call you - Like you I re-register my number every year (since it never seems to stop the previously mentioned Deuce-bags),

So I have never and will never promote the DNC to anyone - watch Marketplace (CBC) from two years ago re: Duct Cleaning - the CRTC will never do anything to stop incoming calls from scammers. What I do is threaten them with the $250,000 penalty linked to illegal DNC calls. they respond better to that then the DNC blockages.

As well the Duct Cleaning people are from Karachi, Pakistan - a company called Via Communications - look them up and see the happy faces working there. they have emails and phones there for you to crank call back if you want to indulge yourself.

As for the 613-230-2890 number got one this AM - sent to VM - nothing left. I never answer any call from an unknown number - send it to VM and if they have something to say - leave a message - I will call them back - if not FOAD.

These guys can go blow a dead bear. The answering machine is going back to German. F.O.A.D..

Most of the people you are calling are probably trying to relax at home after their OWN shifts without being bothered by unsolicited calls from telemarketers.

I get it, it's a job and it sucks, but being bothered at home constantly by unsolicited telemarketing calls also sucks. I still try and be as polite as possible, but I can hardly fault people for their frustration.

So, for eight years this number has been harassing people. Are the phone companies like Bell Canada stupid, lazy, plain [***], or all of the above? Oh well, what should I expect for $130 a month. Screw you Bell!!!!

They are a research firm based in Ottawa called Nielsen.  You can call them at 613-230-9109 to ask for your number to be removed from their list.  They want you to do a survey for them.  Call the other number and have yours removed from their list.

You are wasting your time putting your number on these moron's Do No Call List. I have done it and still receive constant calls from this number. They probably just put you on their "active phone number list" and now they can be assured it is an assigned number. I placed my number on the list in Feb of 2015 it is now May of 2015 and I just received another call today.  I made it clear in the "comments" section that I do not answer the phone for unknown numbers - ever - and and I do not answer surveys - ever - so they are wasting their time calling. I took a screen shot of the page including my comments and threatened to send it to my MP. which I will now do. It is time people who do not want to participate in surveys should get harassing calls from these market researchers anymore than from telemarketers. To continue calling after telling them NEVER to call IS HARASSMENT and unacceptable. I urge all of you to contact your member of parliament and insist that market research be included on the federal DNC List today.

Caller said this is Scotia bank calling is ******* there. I said no and she hung up.

I have been receiving calls from this number for the past several days...twice a day at least and yesterday they called 4 times, all of these calls showed up on my call display and I did not answer because it was long distance and not a number that should be calling my cell phone.  I called the number today and it said it was a survey company and gave a contact number of 613-230-9109.  I called this number and told the lady who answered that calling my cell as many times as they have been is to the point of harassment and said I didn't want them to ever call me again !!  The lady was actually nice enough and said she would take me off of their calling list, fingers crossed that I don't get any more calls from them again.

I've never answered but they call me constantly, and I've been told they're a scam company.

Calls, on weekend, leaves no message.

June 7/15 4:17 PM call came in Sunday???  did not answer and no number is answered unless I know it    no msg left either  and is long distance from me   613 area

Someone called me from this number and left a message that they are calling from special division of CRA and warrant has been issued. If I don't call them back, they will send my file to police.

got a call from this number at about 7:15 on Sat evening!  did not answer as I did not recognize it.  pleasant message on their phone when I called back (with my number blocked) telling me they are a national survey company based in Ottawa, and not to worry about missing the call - they will call back soon!  Then I was informed that any questions would be handled at 613-230-9109I may decide to call there on Monday - but maybe not.  I have since programmed my phone to send all calls from this number directly to voice mail (I don't have a block feature) ... so no ring, and I can just delete them next time I go to pick up my voice messages.  What a pain!
