This call was on my caller ID on a Sunday. Since there are VERY few people connected with OSU who have my home number (and all THREE of them are important to the university), I was FREAKED...thought something awful had happened to someone I really care about. The secretary of one of these people Googled the number and "low and behold." At least I'm not on the edge of my seat any more, and all I care about are safe and well. STILL, I get plenty of snail mail on official stationery from the Alum Association, so I don't like this tactic.

Multiple calls from 614 247 6239.  More likely to be a prank by UofM than calls from OSU, not OSU's style.  Ignore.

I'm graduating Sunday and they won't stop calling me. They've called every day for a week, at all times of the day. This is getting ridiculous. It's almost harrassment.

They just called me again. I think it's crazy that they start doing this the week before and the week of finals. I haven't even graduated, and they want MORE of my money that I don't have to give them. It's ridiculous.

I received phone calls from this number daily, I didn't answer, they never left a voice mail. I called the number back and no one would answer.

I also added OSU alumni to my Facebook page

We paid (through the nose) for our son to go there. He graduated with top honors and is now a lieutenant in the US Air Force. I get a call from them about once a month asking for money and for his contact info. He said not to give it to them as they call him wanting money. I told the last little hag who called demanding a donation he didn't have time to send them a check because he was too busy dodging mortar shells. She had no idea what I was talking about. Ohio State is an expensive university and I think we did our part. Our son doesn't make much in the service and he certainly doesn't owe them anything. [***] Off, Ohio State!!!

I have been receiving a call from this exact number EVERY OTHER DAY for the past month or so...I spent 5 years at Ohio State and have been in the Alumni Association since 2002, paying my $65 dues yearly...I think THAT is enough donation to the school! I only joined the AA to get a CHANCE for football tickets, and yet, I've been DENIED the past two years! Why would I give MORE money to this institution? Ugh! STOP CALLING ME!

I've received what seems like hundreds of calls from this number.  I spent many years at OSU and do not like getting unwanted calls.   It ticks me off that they call not only so much but also in the evening and on weekends.   Leave me alone.  My Alumni Association dues are paid and I gave enough money with my years of tuition.   Ask for some money back from Tressel's paycheck.   He can't win any big games so quit paying him so much.

Actually, Jim Tressel and Gordon Gee both donated a million dollars each to the Students First Students Now Initiative which helps lower income students access financial aid so they can attend Ohio State.  Also, alumni donations cover 1/3 of the cost it takes to run OSU.  Tuition covers another 1/3, and federal support covers the last 1/3.  So of course they are going to call you.

Yeah, they called and asked to speak to me and once I responded they hung up on me?? Pretty RUDE!

the call was from OSU's Parents Fund.  They wanted a donation of $100 to support Career Connections.

they call me all the time...its really annoying! When i do answer no one ever says anything. Also, i've never gone to OSU before and niether has either of my parents....im confused....just wish they would stop.

I got a call from them on May 27th, at 7pm, on May 28th at 6pm, and on June 2 at 8:30pm....didnt answer and left no messages..........

i keep recieving a call from these basterds, i'm graduating this quarter, this harasment needs to stop i'm gonna find a way to block this number, report it or something, dont care if its osu, atleast leave a voicemail u [***] [***] suckers. sorry about the foul language but its to express my frustration

They called me at 8:44 PM EST on Sunday night on my cell--I hung up on them....I swore that I'd never give the University a donation and because I did, I'm condemmed to the hell of begging for bucks by Bucks!

Wow guys really? If this number called you, then you are lucky enough to be an alumni of The Ohio State University. Yes, it is from their call center, which employees entirely Ohio State students. The goal is to raise money for the University, to improve the campus, improve courses/education, and yes probably even help pay for the athletic programs that everyone cherishes OH-so-much. If you do not want them to call you back, you need to pick up once, wait for the student to finish speaking and ask them to please remove you from the list.
Try and remember, you were once a college student, trying to make some extra money for books or beer. When you are rude to these kids, you are not sticking it to the University, just ruining their night.

This numbers calls my cell phone probably 5 times a week.  I programmed my phone to not ring when they call.  I did tell them to stop calling me when I answered once a year ago, but they are relentless.

I used to work for Ohio State Calling as both a caller and supervisor.  You guys should give these kids a break they don't want to be asking you for money any more than you want to give it.  Just listen to their deal and they'll ask you for money three times then let you off the phone.  They call from individual ports and the callback number goes to a phone at the front supervisor desk, which is never answered.  If you leave a voicemail they'll take your number off their calling list.  But really guys, take it easy on them it's their job.
