Had a message on home phone from state information services regarding affairs of a Robert m. whittle , a reference number , call back number of 8006045435. Blocked my number and called. The giggling woman that answered the call indicated they deal in probate. I said I don't know this person.  She stated that she could remove my number if I told her what number I had received the message on. She said she was unable to determine what number I was calling from.  I refused and told her I am sure her records indicated what numbers were called with the reference number provided and hung up.

Called on my cell phone about 8:15 am. Left VM with same info reported by others.Never heard of the person they were asking about Have had this cell number for several years and have no idea how they got it as I guard it closely..

Received call at work, but did not answer after googling number.  They stayed on the line after VM started, but did not say anything.

Keep calling they claim i am not rresponsible for dead person debt.

Person is dead this company want information regarding deceased. My phone number is my personal number has nothing to do with deceased. M in poor health with a bad heart. This is not doing my blood pressure any good. Ive been sick since deceased pass away.

This estate information services has also send me letters. I have not and will not answered. I believe this is a scam.

These callers have inside information, as to whom will soon pass away! Watch your health closely!

This group seems to specialize in contacting relatives of the recently deceased and then attempting to get the relatives to pay the debts of the decedent despite the fact that the relatives of the decedent  may  not be legally responsible for the debts of the deceased.   Payment of lawful debts of the decedent is the duty of the executor or administrator.  No end to what some of these debt collectors will do.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Is a scam - should be put out of business!

On 4/9/2015 called my house at 12:36PM. Asking for  Deborah (Debra)  or something. It was a live person, a woman stated her name was Moneisha or something. She said that this call will be recorded etc... as I didn't hear the rest of what she was saying. I told her to hold on as I purposely put the phone on speaker and on mute just to see how long she would held on for. Seconds later she hung up. I've been getting calls since last year from so called companies like Dealer Services asking to speak to a person name Debora, I've told them several times that no one by that name lives here. Yet, they continue to call. After reading the previous posts; I'm thinking that this person could be deceased and these scum bags are trying their best to obtain personal information from her relatives etc...How disturbing it is. I nor my family don't know anyone in my current state where we reside know anyone of that name. We only answer calls from the states of where people we know live and know their number. I truly know that it was a scam call. I was tempted to call back but, I never did. And I don't plan on it either.

received phone calls from this company, they do not leave a message, but continue to call, and my phone number is unlisted, due id theft had to change my phone number so googled this number to investigate what this number is for.

Hey all. I feel really stupid. I called back, gave my birthdate and last 4 numbers of my social. Then the lady said they got the wrong dave and it was someone by the same name. I felt relieved. Then afterwards I immediately felt like I was scammed. Was it a scam just to get my birthdate and last 4 digits of the social, or should I not be worried?

This must be the lowest of the low. I suspect it is another Phishing scam to get any info they can from whoever answers.
No one died here and haven't known any deceased in years so why call here? Random dialing or targeting the wrong names? NEVER answer unknown callers no matter what the ID reads. They will never talk to anyone here - ever.

I got a call from this company today via a land line located in Columbus, OH 614-729-1700, A woman with a south east asian accent left a voice mail to call back 800-604-5435 regarding my VERY recently deceased grandmother's "finances". No company name or person's name was provided for reference, only an extension 257 and an additional case reference number. This is a disgusting fraud/scam to phish for money. My grandmother's death certificate is barely out of the typewriter. They have called both my younger brother and I so far who have nothing to do with our grandmother's estate. And in any case, her debt went with her as no one in our family is tied to her finances.Talk about throwing a broad net! We reported this nonsense the FTC, FBI and Ohio attorney general's office.

Guess I better watch my health! They called from this number a few days ago - didn't answer - never answer unknown callers. Today received a letter from these people asking who is handling MY estate!!! Obviously I'm not deceased and I have a somewhat unusual name so not likely someone else with my name passed away! Very creepy. I do not intend to contact them. If they start harassing, they will hear from my attorney and if we can make money from them all the better!

Got a call from these people this morning about my mother's estate.  My mother is still alive.  She is very sick and I'm sure this has something to do with a medical bill she owes someone for something.  The person who called me wanted my name and all my info.  She also didn't speak English.  She said "We really need this info to process her estate..." I said she has no estate, don't worry about it".   I then called back, got someone who spoke English and proceed to tell them exactly what I thought about this nonsense and that they had better NEVER call me again.
