Its Commenity Bank...credit card collections.

I called back and women wanted my birth date and last four digits of my social. She couldn't tell me what the reason for the call was until she had this information. I didn't give her the information.

This is a scam. I don't have credit cards. They call every hour. I just ignore the call.

This number has been calling me for weeks. I don't answer it because I don't recognize the number.

Called 7 times, including once at 8 AM, clearly a scam, I don't know anyone from Columbus, Ohio

Same here, seems to have just started calling me, but noticed about 3 or 4 calls so far. Anyone know if they have a do not call list?

Keeps calling my 76 year old mothers landline daily. We dont answer. She owes no one nor does she have bad debts. I also placed her on tbe do not call list. Abput to seek attorney as you can collect $1500.00 per call for violating the do not call registry. Annoying. Caller ID says Comenity.
Give the poor old woman some peace!

Received 2 calls from this number. Second one came at 8:16 am. I called back the first time. A computer answered. It told me that this was not a sales call, but I was to hold for someone. I didn't hold.
The previous post said it was Comenity Bank. I do have one card from that bank. To make a phone payment is a $15 charge. Sending a payment in by snail mail carries the threat of a exact arrival time - or else. Web payments do not carry a charge. If companies want to be paid - then they should not make it difficult for customers to make their payments.

This number hasn't been reported in awhile. I can't answer my cell phone while I'm at work, but I keep getting missed calls from this number, but no messages left. I'm also in the process of job hunting so I'm sure it's a spam caller that picked up my number off of one of those job sites.

This number 614-729-6083 comes up as the name Comenity on my caller ID, they call at all different times of the day & even on the weekends, we do not pick up & let it go to our answering machine, they never leave a message!

This number calls my home EVERY day at 7 10 and 5.....even on the weekends Is there not a no call list for cell phones?

This number calls my phone from 7 am to 10 pm I want it to stop. I'm current on all my bills

I thought this was a scam too until I found out that it is the bank that lends money for Mayors Jewelry. My payment was 3 days late (Bill pay didn't get it there In time I guess).

They can call from 8 am - 9 pm in the consumers time zone. Multiple calls would be considered harassment. But not if they are not leaving a message.

I looked this up as I recognized the number--it is the bank that is the parent company for Comenity Bank, which services lots of online stores' credit cards, such as Brylane Home, Roamans, etc.

How do you go about doing this? I am getting calls all day for a grown daughter who certainly doesn't live with me, and doesn't owe these clowns a dime?  Love to go after them.  I am on the do-not-call list--caller ID says World Financial Bank.   Any advice?

Block them.  Their tactics are ridiculous --& no money is owed them. From what I've read on these posts, they will call if a person is current with payment to a retailer, but it hasn't posted.  Insane & invasive.  Block their calls on your phone & that will hopefully put a stop to the unwarranted harassment. These people are relentless and unscrupulous. If you owe, pay up. If you don't owe, don't answer, and even if you DO owe--don't answer--just pay your bills & block the calls.
