Yes, they are calling virginia now, received call about 10 minutes ago.  I have resorted to turning off answer machine because just about all calls are from these pests these days.  Most hang up after a few rings but they hung on for6-7 rings before giving up.

I've heard they can avoid paying for the call if they hung up before an answer machine picks up, not sure how true that is.  I guess it would depend on the calling paln they have.

No message - just hung up.  This is the 3rd call in the past 3 days.  Based on what I read here, I'll just add them to my blocker just to irritate them.     Caller ID says    "Out of Area"

"Hello, this is Amber and I am calling with a brief five question political poll"  

They called twice while I was out. Called them back, got this prerecorded message: "Hello, you have reached Secretary (?) Processing a political polling firm. If you would like to be removed form our calling list please a leave a message that includes your name, telephone number and state of residence.

 Gallatin, Tn again, these idiots.  say nothing, so I slammed it in their ear.  Hope they caught on to the fact that I do not want to hear from them again, I am in N. C. and on DNCall list....

This is a "magic jack" of all trades number, sometimes polling or someone from the IRS etc etc. the polling one is a classic because what is the very first thing the auto replay asks? If you want to be removed from our list then leave your personal information...WTF? I also like the replies saying, "report them to the FCC to the FBI.....". The government won't do [***] about it and have proven it time after time! Most of these hoax numbers have been active and reported on for at least 4-5
years. India, Nigeria, Russia leading the way on phone fraud. How many of those buy one now and get two free for $19.99 commercials have you seen? The old bait line of order now before its out of stock sound familiar? The [***] they sell never works as advertised!?! They don't do anything about that!

Got a call from them earlier today - in Virginia.  Ignored it as it only showed number (no name) on caller ID.
We had gotten a notice from our local municipal government that people were calling around and attempting to gain personal information.  It is possible that is what is going on with this number.

Continue to get calls from this number. I am on the DO NOT CALL  list. Will report you if I continue to get these unwanted calls.

Got a call from (615) 461-5838 at 5:45pm today. Caller ID said: Gallatin, TN. Didn't answer and no message left. I put it on my blocked list of numbers in my phone.

Left no message. Scam I'm sure.

Florida here...looks like this scammer or telemarketer is making the rounds. As usual, no I.d., no message.

When I get a call from a number I don't recognize I lift the handset (or press the speakerphone button) and immediately press and hold down the # button for about 30 seconds. If it's a robo-all, it will delete my number from the calling list thinking it's a bad number. If it's a real person, they will hang up and delete the number from the call list for the same reason. I used to get a couple dozen of these calls a day from various telemarketers. Now I get 2 or 3 a day so this must be helping. It may take a few weeks to notice a difference, but I've been doing this for about 2 years now and my number is definitely getting sold to fewer and fewer telemarketers, that's for sure.

i just got call from 615-461-5838 came up on caller id as unknown did not answer just it the block button on my caller id blocker and they will never get through again lol i love that box its the best 60 bucks i ever spent yall need to look into getting one they are great i hope this helps others

I just received that call in FL.   They are all over the place!

Just got called  few minutes ago. I am in Northern Florida so they are targeting us now!!! Let the call go to voicemail and they left no message. Ugh!!! So dislike these robo calls.  Will pick up phone hit speaker phone button then Pound as suggested by a previous post when they call again.  Thanks for the information.
