Well these scam artists are now targeting the east coast, I'm in Miami Florida. I never answer unless I know who it is. My caller id showed the same number twice  without a specific name..

where do you buy these call blocker machines and what brand name do they use. Does anyone know.

This is Florida here, and I just got a call from 615 461 5838  its 7:45 p.m. on 7/15/14.   Have caller ID and of course I do not answer any calls anymore unless I know the number.   What low-lifes these people are.

Received call and these cowards hung up when answered. Yes, it may be part of debt collection tactics and networks to abuse and exploit consumers, relatives, friends, and others. But it may be this marketing research company TSM http://www.targoz.com/contact/ Targoz Strategic  Marketing. Of course predatory cowards like this don't have a BBB report or an opt-out program. and the state of Tennessee doesn't show a business license for these jerks.

google call blocker or Amazon search call blocker. There are many out there.

Called multiple times in a row and did not leave message - called ID only lists "Unknown Name"

Unfortunately, I have to answer these calls.  Sick mother.  Calls from insurance companies, pharmacies, and doctors, 800 and other numbers with ID blocked.  Luckily, I was too late to pickup this call.  Thank you for reporting.  This is so ridiculous.  The FTC's recommendation, change my number.  My Mom has had that number since 1989,  That's the only number her long lost friends know.  I cringe to think, how many people I would have to contact for me and for her, For some of her old friends, I can't find their numbers and they have probably moved.  My doctor's office is still calling my old cell number after 7 months.  Why don't these big phone companies support NOMOROBO.  That's a solution to robo calls, but the phone companies wont support it.  Call your phone company and ask them to support it.  Demand that they support it.  Oh, be sure you have your account number and pin, or they won't even talk to you. :-)

Called here at 7 pm didn't answer left no message.  Verizon told my neighbor not to answer any unknown numbers.  Scammers have been working the area spoofing numbers.  Many calls are from out of the country.  Friend of mine received a call claiming to be from IRS (another #) asking for her dad that there was a warrent out for his arrest.  Preying on the elderly

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

I am in central Florida.  The scammers called at 7:05.  I NEVER answer calls when I do not recognize the number. My phone service (Centurylink) only allows a for 12 blocked numbers so I guess I`ll be getting a call blocker in the near future.  

Gallatin, Tn did not leave a message. They called twice today.

Go to E-BAY and search T-LOCK CALL BLOCKER. Last time I checked it was $39.00 and blocks up to 1500 numbers. I have one and it works great. Blocked numbers never get a chance to ring the phone.

I got mine off of amazon website just to to amazon.com put in caller id blocker and get the one that best suits you. as far as I know they work on all phone systems They are easy to use and only take a minute to hook up. they work on all the phones in your house even though you only hook up to one phone. and you don't have to be home to block a number just look at the box and if you don't want that number to call again just hit block and it will save it you can even put in area codes it holds up to 1500 numbers and a about 1000 area codes depending on the model ya get. This scammer is now in Florida. Received same type of calls as everyone else from 615-461-5838. Began a few days ago and receive them every day, several times a day. Must get me one of those blockers since there is no agency of authority that can prevent these nuisance predatory calls.

The number called on 7-15-14 @ 5:46 PM.  I misread the caller ID and picked up the phone.  A recording said It was a very important political poll and that it was very important that I carefully answer all of their questions.  I hung up.

Got the call here in Sarasota, FL on Tues 7-15-14 @ 5:44pm on my landline phone which is
connected to my Fax/printer.  I usually just leave the printer on, which is set to pick up as a fax on
the 2nd ring, but it wasn't on when this call came thru so my voice mailbox picked up on 3rd ring.
They didn't leave a message & Caller ID showed 'Unavailable'

Left no message.  Called two times.  I have Comcast phone service.  I can block up to 12 numbers also caller ID.  Seems to work if I block number.

I used the do not disturb option from my phone company.  Only numbers I put in can get through.  All others get "this number is not accepting calls at this time. I have gone from 8 to 10 nuisance calls a day to 0.  Love it.
