    Really???? replies to ex debtor
I did give the message to my daughter Mr. Loman called again and I informed him that I had given his name and number to my daughter. Now he calls me to tell me that I am lying and that it is very important. I informed Mr. Loman that I do not work for him, my daughter is an adult, he has her number off of the lease that she signed and that he should contact her not me from now on. "Ex Debtor" I have read the post yes you are right people should pay their debts, but Debt Collectors should not call third parties, talk to them in a threatening manner, and accuse us of lying about telling people stuff. Send a letter to the debtor, sue them, due whatever you can leagelly but stop calling other people. I will not give out information because I do not know the status of my daughters debt, do not care to know. So "ex debtor" let me have your number so I can give it to Mr. Loman so he can call you about other peoples debt.

    Just Don't Answer
If I don't recognize the number calling then I don't answer anymore. When I used to answer I would explain that I don't deal with third party collectors, but would be happy to pay any debt I owe if notified by the original company that the debt belongs to. I wouldn't get repeat calls after that and I've never been contacted by any company as an original debtor.

RDAC in Nashville does exist. It is an acronym for RentDebt Automated Collections, LLC. The number is (866) 376-7834. They are attempting to collect a debt from a property that you rented from. I know because they contacted me too.

My son got a call yesterday, they said he owed money for damages to an apt he lived in.
There was some minor damage, but we figured the apts would contact him.
We are not sure if this place is legit or not.

These people are fraudulent debt recyclers.  You don't owe *this company* any money. Period.  They bought the information about a debt (right or wrong, they don't care) and use this information to extort money from you that they may or may not pass back on to the original lender.  if you want to honor a legitimate debt, contact the party that lent you the money, don't fund these morons.

The reason that they wont provide source materials (which they are required to do by law) is because they don't have it.  ask them for an address (to send a check, or whatever) and as soon as you get it, send them a certified letter telling them to never contact you again.  If they do, you have grounds to file criminal charges against them.

    Concerned
They called me at work stating they were calling on behalf of an apt complex. I had never received a letter  stating I owed money. When the RUDE ASS woman called me she wanted my home address. I told her if she was calling on behalf of the folks she should have it so I gave her nothing. Somehow I gat a notice...I responded requesting more info.  No response....sent second letter....no response.....ran my credit report.....and there it was.....sent letter after letter no response.....called the old apt...it's how of their hands...so at this point what do you do.

Let's be grown ups for a minute, and really think about this.

Has anyone ever thought that maybe these people are using made up names so people can't attack them personnally?? I've worked in several call centers where I was forced to used a fake name! With all the social networks around this is to protect everyone!!
And to most of the parents on here, I hate to be the person to bring this to your attention but your children aren't always as innocent as you think they are. Weren't you a teenager/young adult at one point in your life as well?? I'm sure there are things your parents didn't know about you.

Bottom line - if you don't believe the people that are calling you - CHECK YOUR CREDIT REPORT!! Its easy as that.
    Just think about it.
    Really.

    Good Day!

    no more debt
I was very leary also when I was contacted by this company.  When I Googled them I realized that they were, in fact, collecting on a past due debt from a previous apartment that I had to leave with no written notice.  This broke my lease, and they were leagally entitled to their money.  The apartment that I left had a policy of turning over old debt to this company because they don't have the time to manage apartments and chase past due debt.  This debt showed up on my credit report and was keeping me from moving into a new apartment.  I had to have a family member co-sign for me because as far as the new apartment was concerned, I was a bad risk.

This company is actually rated by the Better Business Beauro and is perfectly legitamate.  The clerk I delt with was very kind and professional.  I paid off my debt and they reported me to all 3 credit reporting agencies and now my credit is clear.  When my lease comes up for renewel, I will be able to sign for myself and be back on track.

Having said that, if you being called at work, tell them that you are aware of your rights and to NEVER call you at that number again.  Also, never co-sign a lease for your kids, siblings or any one else if you don't want to be chased down when they skip out on their lease!!!  Where do you suppose RDAC gets your number from!!!  Bad credit can keep you from getting a job or a lease somewhere else.  Don't be mad cause you got caught!

They are not fraudulent.  They are registered with the BBB and will gladly tell you they are collecting for an apartment (which they will name) that has no doubt tried to get their money from you in the past.  If what you claim is true, what they are doing constitues mail fraud.  Your just mad because you got caught!

Okay so I just had a mr Zuko call me again, I looked him up online & found this thread. But when I was goin to refinance my car loan, it did pop up for soard property's on my credit I owe thosand & something in property damage. Which is beyond crock because we left that place spotless turned in 30 day notice & everything. I'm just so pissed off that their accusing us of the damages. When we moved in there was so many damages done but they did never fix them. So idk if this Zuko guy is real or what and if i actually paid payments on it if it would go to the actual expenses soard is claiming we did. So I honestly don't know what to do or say.
