They call my daughters phone during school hours!!! Her phone is off but has missed calls from them all day long!  How do you stop them???

I have gotten repeated calls from this number

Repeated "dead air" calls from 617-475-3027.

I've also received calls from the number.  My caller ID simply reads (,).  If there's any way to get these cowards to stop calling, I'm open to suggestion!

The caller would not identify himself after asking for my daughter. He would not leave a message either.

Stop wasting your time with these unpretentious pricks, people.  

I too get several DAILY "calls" from them.  My VM over rides each call, and simply deletes them!

That idiot "DO NOT CALL" list is the biggest bunch of bs I've ever heard of.  It does not work!  You don't think these pricks don't pay top dollar for our phone numbers?  It matters NOT where you are, who you are, etc.  Cell or home phone.  They find you.  They continue to open new businesses and purchase phone lists, just to annoy.  Its like Internet SPAM.  It cannot "go away".  SPAM will always be out there because its the Web.

Repeated calls even after multiple requests to stop.

On a daily basis we get several calls from this number. Sometimes they call every few minutes.No message is left.Caller ID shows (.) symbol for name.
After doing some reverse searches, all I got was that it is a landline from Cambridge Mass.
How can we put a stop to this?

I have received 11 such calls from the same Cambridge number that shows on my caller ID.  They began yesterday on May 19th with 5 calls and 6 more today.  After the about the sixth call I thought maybe Harvard was offering me an Honorary Phd.  Fat chance!

The most recent call came this afternoon and I answered it.  I said hello and waited and there was no response, recorded message and so on.  There were no other Voice Mails left just to let all of you know that much of the same is occurring to me.

One would think the FCC could do something about this since one post here indicated that someone did try to solicit money.  It is extremely aggravating!!!

They are calling to see who actually answers from calls from numbers they don't recognize.  Answer only those calls linked to your phone book and they will eventually stop calling you.

8-10 calls per day, nothing on the other end, no message, very annoying.

They may be exempt from the Do Not Call restrictions. Charities and perhaps research organizations are exempt.

Because of limitations in the jurisdiction of the FTC and FCC, calls from or on behalf of political organizations, charities, and telephone surveyors would still be permitted, as would calls from companies with which you have an existing business relationship, or those to whom you’ve provided express agreement in writing to receive their calls. However, if you ask a company with which you have an existing business relationship to place your number on its own do-not-call list, it must honor your request.  You should keep a record of the date you make the request.

Even the city and state didn't show up on my caller ID.  Just the number.  And on the line where it usually identifies the caller, it just says, (,).  Who is parentheses and a comma?

Just got a call from this - and since I used to work and live in Cambridge, assumed it was someone I knew, but since I didn't get to the phone on time, I checked the number. No one I know. No msg. No reason to deal with the call in the future. But you're all right: it's annoying!

Why can't the DO NOT CALL police or whatever there called do something about these types calls?

Survey company - they have right to call as their orgnaization type is exempt from the Do Not Call lists and FCC complaints.

Call received from 617-475-3027 asking for wife on my personal business line. When I asked the female caller how she got my wife's name for this number, she hung up on me.

This number keeps calling my home and not leaving a message every 15 minutes or so.

The person on the other end wanted to ask polling questions.  I asked them who they were with, he said and independent polling company.  When I asked where he was located he asked the question how likely was I.... I interrupted him and asked again where was he calling from.  He again started with the question how likely was I... At this point I hung up.
