SCAM!  Received a robo call stating I had two claims filed against me and to return a call to 802-881-0607 with a reference number they provided and call ended with a statement of "you have officially been notified."   Bull!  I tried to call the number just for kicks and it would say, "this call may be recorded" then immediately disconnect.  Reporting as scam as I have nothing going on in my life that would warrant any type of claims against me.. just a scam artist trying to get info. beware!

I get about 15-20 calls a day on my cell phone. I asked how they got my number and they said that I filled out a application online for a loan.  I never filled anything out for a loan.  I told them to stop calling and they better not call this number again or I will report them. The number is 617-714-0762

My mom just received yet another call from this number, and she told off the person on the other end so hard that I was in tears laughing. Do not trust: I'm almost positive this is a scam

I believe this to be not merely a "prank" call as such but a SCAM!  I am a Verizon Tel. Co. retiree who worked in telephone repair dept. for many years as a tester and attempted to call the initiating # 617-714-0762  just to see how it would be answered. A message came on saying the number was not in service...however...I do not believe that message is an actual, legitimate telephone co. recording but when called and answered someone merely initiates a beep sound and then comes on and says it's not on service. The number the caller asks you to call (not the number they called from) is 866-966-5997 and then to repeat to them a so-called code number they provided. Since I did not call that number as I recognized it as a SCAM I don't know what transpires after that but it is obviously a SCAM of some sort.

I got a phone call from this number but it was a friend of mine.  I asked why they were calling me from a Massachusetts and they said that they were calling me from their cell phone.  This is the second time this has happened but between the first incidence and now there have been multiple calls where my friend's actual number appeared.  When I tried to call the number back it said it was disconnected.  Maybe someone is tracking their calls. IDK   It's just super weird.

Just got call on my mobile. Says from IRS, time sensitive, must call their hotline.

kept calling saying he wanted to talk to me. Never really got to the point until he finally said I love and want to suck your [***]? joke's on him

Keeps calling me this morning and leaving repeating messages threatening to have law enforcement at my door. Dude has an accent, doesn't leave his own name, and leaves another number for me to call. SCAM! Luckily I can block numbers. Be careful folks. These cons are crossing the line!!!!

I got a voicemail from this number but the person that left the message I know and has  a PA phone number. My friend called from their own phone it never rang on my end and this 617 number is shown with the message from my friend. Not sure how that happened

Just got call from 617-714-0762.  Said they were Microsoft Security.  Wanted me to restart my computer.  No problem.  Lady said her name was Megan Fernandez, but she had an Indian accent.  Then she wanted me to type in eventvwr  and hit OK.  Not sure what this would have done, but I didn't do it.  I asked her what it would do, but she just said if I didn't my computer would quit working in 1/2 hour.  She hung up and wouldn't give me any more information.  Don't know how she got my wife's number to call on.

I keep reviving calls from this number they say there from the government  I told them I'm not intrested  the guy asked me if I wanted to [***] and if I wanted to to [***] this really need to stop it is a bunch of crap

Got a call from these [***] on 7-16-15 @ 2:47pm, left no message, just rode them off as just another chit call!

They're still trying... I didn't answer. I figured I'd find them here.

Had a series of calls in a very short time - all hang ups and no message. After reading the other posts I will block their number and post to do not call site.

Similar to other comments I got the call on my cell saying he was from Microsoft and telling me my computer was sending error messages to the "main server" and my PC could crash if this problem was not resolved. I happen to work for an IT company and I know what Microsoft does not call clients, clients call Microsoft. So the call ended when I asked him to send me an email from his Microsoft account so I could verify the call. At that point the call ended. I doubt I will see the email. I will also block the number on my phone.

Got a call from same 6177140762 on 7/22/2015 and the call disconnected as soon as I said 'hello'. I used a land line to call this # only to hear the # is not in service. Guys, believe it or not, today's smart phones are not any different from PCs or laptops, etc and as such are being hijacked. Once hijacked, calls you make may be listened to by these crooks without your knowledge. Consider this kind of 3-way call when you think this is just a 2-way call. That is scary!

They keep calling me over and over to tell me. My computer has virus and need to be fixed, or my computer will crash. Asking me for $100 to fixed this guys can't stop Harrass me.

call today from same type call.  Thick Indian type accent--told  him if he wanted to speak to me tonite  he could call- but my systems were placed off completely before I left on trip.....shut him off --no call tonite--was going to tell him I was reporting the number to attorney general .

Today (7/28/15) I have received a call from 617-714-0762 4 times from 11:59 to 12:37.  The foreign guy who was calling said he was John Anderson from Advance America.  The background is so loud and you can hear people talking with different company names in the 2 voicemails they have left.  They called and since I didn't answer they called right back and then did this again.  I know I am not approved for a payday loan since my husband and I are both military and haven't tried to do a payday loan in over a year.  He told me I needed to call back so they could get my social security number to verify my information.  Don't give them anything especially information about you that can be used to open an account.
