Got a call from this number that said Quncy.  If I don't know the person I let it got to voice and they didn't leave a message.   I looked up the number on 800notes and it's a scam.   I blocked the number

Called at 3:30pm, didn't answer, no message.  Adding them to my auto reject list after reading through everything here.

I've been getting calls almost every day this month.  231-217-9999, 633-510-0000, 614-783-9871, 502-500-8408, 352-551-9657, now this. But I never answer unknown numbers. If it's important, they'll leave a message.

My rule is simple.  I do not donate to anyone or anything who calls me.  If I want to help a cause, I find the charity; they do not find me.  Even if it is a technically legitimate charity, blanket telemarketing shows that they spend far more time and money asking for money than they do spending money on the targeted cause.

Just got a call from this number again they have been calling over and over again how do we make it stop?

When I answered this call to my mobile, recorded message said I was winner of a free cruise.  For more info, press one or to opt out, press 9.  I pressed nine and they said I would be permanently removed from their list.  I've gotten similar calls in the past--I don't remember if its the same number, but I would like to be removed from whatever data base that is responsible for these calls.

I can assure you that pressing any number to be removed will only result in your getting more calls.  These are criminals calling you and if they ignore the law, then they are certainly going to not honor your wishes.

Called on my cell saying I won a cruise.  I don't cruise.

The DNC only works when businesses use it. While they are required to in the US, many of these calls come from OUTSIDE the US.

No company name in caller ID says it all! its the same Pathetic Clowns with new number and it looks like its a cell phone classy LOL

I absolutely agree.  I don't let them even start - well I interrupt them - and just say that we have a rule in our house never to donate money over the phone.  You never have to worry if you never give money to a stranger!

Saw number on my call log. I tell people (if I make the mistake of picking it up) that I don't make any donations between Columbus Day and New Year's Day.

Hmmm; other people/sites say its the 'free cruise' scam.  Obviously, the scammers try all sorts of tactics/ruses.  I am so discouraged by these calls because while we are not in the 617 area code ourselves, we do use docs/hospitals there and frequently get calls from them; and they often call from numbers we do not recognize because they use 'dummy' numbers to disguise their identity for HIPPA reasons.  We have given our cell #s to medical personnel, and never know when its a legit call or not.  I was expecting a call today, which makes it doubly hard.  Wish there were extra penalties for people who perpetrate these scams, just for this reason.
