Be very wary of this - this is a robot/recording 'asking' this and they want to ~record your voice~ saying "Yes" so they can paste it into another recording making it look like you ordered a product, or are allowing a charge on one of your financial accounts.  They may already have enough info on people via hacking and data sharing to make it look like you really did agree to something.  That is why not answering and blocking/reporting when you can is the best solution.

Its getting so scary out there.  Technology is turning things back into the "Wild Wild West" again.

They are all scams . They give 1 to 3% of what they collect . They rip people off .

First time I get a call that I suspect may be legit, I answer, as soon as I find out it is scam etc., I disconnect the call. After the disconnect I save the number as contact under a name such as ZZZ. I keep saving all the identified scam calls under such contact names. Second time I get a call from any of these scam numbers, the caller name shows up as ZZZ etc., and I don't answer it. I have a long list of such "contacts" with first letter as Z. The first letter being Z does not disturb the search for contacts.

Maybe I'll use the "ZZ" at the start of each one to differentiate/place at the end..

Call and hang up call and hang up. If you suspect it's a charity scam I just say "we do no phone solicitations if you want to mail me something I'll consider it."

I then interrupt them and I give no mailing information out. I say "you already have my phone number you  must have my address too" and hang up.

They won't mail you anything because it's US postal fraud and that's a federal offense that brings US  Federal postal inspectors...

I almost never get a call back from the number again

I hear you so sick of these calls.  I use boston doctors also and yes, you never know what number they will use. I just happened to miss this call. But would not have answered.  Its tiresome to say the least

We got a call again from this number yesterday, 16 Dec 2015, at 4:49 pm. The caller ID was still QUINCY MA. This time it was blocked by our call blocker. Please see my post of 10 Dec 2015.

Robot call saying I won a trip and do I have a Credit Card.

Just got this call.  Didn't answer it; no voice message.  Says it was from Quincy, MA.  I don't answer numbers I don't know because they are usually solicitations or spam.

Unknown caller 617-829-4511 rings me on my cell phone, I ignored because I must not know them and they aren't in my contact file.  If it was police benevolent assoc. I wouldn't give mo to raise ney either!  The intersect of legitimate charities who are doing telemarketing   is very uncommon.  You can safely assume less that 5% of what you contribute to a telemarketing fundraiser actually gets to the charity!

Scam. Recording says you will win a cruise for taking a brief survey. Ha. Blocked. Have received similar calls about a free cruise, blocked those numbers. The jokers have created another scam phone number. Wish the government could do something about scam calls.

Called on cell phone which is on Do Not Call Registry. "Congratulations you have won" is all I heard before I hung up. 617-829-4511 shows up as a call from Quincy, MA.   Tagged this complaint as Unknown Company, Telemarketer.

I answered a call from an unknown caller.  The number is 617-829-4511.  There was a recorded message telling me I am the lucky winner of a prize.  I have a minute phone and hung up.  In the past I have been on hold up to 10 minutes with no human answering.  The purpose of these calls is beyond me.

just create a new contact using the name "SCAM" - that way when you see it come up on your phone - you know immediately not to answer.

Just called my business phone, which I have to answer, but they just hung up.  For those on cell phone I highly recommend "Mr. Number" Its an application you can download and it tracks many spam type numbers and you can input any number and they will block that number from calling you either no ring/ half ring. Most of the time it informs you its most likely a spam number.

Answered call from this number on my cell phone. This is a bit of an interesting twist - first thing he said was "Hi this is Jason from Customer Service, can you hear me okay?" When I said yes the robo call started into how because I was such and amazing customer that I qualified for this free offer...at that point I hung up (they never mentioned whose Customer Service they were from). 2 hours later they call again, I wanted to tell them to take me off of their calling list but 'Jasons' introduction is obviously the robo dial verifying it got someone. So I hung up again and blocked the number. Problem solved for now.

All these callers are criminals, all of them. It is the LAW not to call numbers listed or signed onto a Do Not Call list. So if you are listed on the Do Not Call list and receive calls these people are Criminals, I do not do business or donate to any Criminal organization.

So this number is still trying to pull one over.  I set up this caller right to "all calls to vm"  sick of them calling

Call came in - no one spoke and they just hung up. Assumed a scam call even though it was a local (regional) call number. Disruptive!
