I'm retired, so sometimes, if I have time, I like to mess with them.  Kept one on the phone almost 30 minutes before they realized I was messing with them(I just played dumb and kept asking the same questions over and over - didn't give them any real info).  Sometimes I'll press one and put my cordless next to my radio(country music); have had some sing along, others thought they were on hold.  When they give me their "fake" name, I'll say: "That's a Christian name isn't it?  They usually say "Yes", so I say: "then you know what you are doing is wrong" just to get a reaction.  This usually interrupts there script.   I figure that if I have them on the line I'm giving some else a break.  Have a blessed day.

I sometimes have a few moments to waste and enjoy spinning their wheels, and depending on how creative I'm feeling have a lot of things to keep them occupied.  My favorite is to ask if they've accepted Jesus as their personal savior, been born again, blah blah blah, and point out the false gods of Hinduism...but really wish I had a mechanism that would allow me to put them on hold...yet, prevent them from disconnecting so as to tie up their phone line for a while.

Cost them money.  Do to them what they are trying to do to you.  Give them a fake credit card number to chase, Visa 4485517148844730.

The only way to stop these calls is to contact your Senators and Congressmen and demand they end all robo cals. The phone companies make tons of money from robo call systems they won't help.

got another call from this number yesterday, my number on is on the do not call list ,but that does no good, why doesn 't the Federal Government do something about this sh  t

I received a call from this number today at 12:25 PM.  I did not answer and the caller never left a voice mail.  Most likely a scammer or telemarketer.  My caller ID displayed V08271425090018 as the name of the caller.  My number is also on the Do Not Call list.

These card services people have called me possibly 200 times over the past several years, always switching numbers.  Today I gave them a fake  card number which took up some of his time and when he came back to the phone to tell me the number didn't work, I gave him the same number and told him it was a good number.  He tried again and then came back and told me that it didn't work.  I informed him that I had taken up probably 10 minutes of his time by giving him a fake number and if they called again they would get another fake number which would take up someone else's time and the f@@ks should stop calling me.  It probably didn't do any good but I got a good laugh because I wasted 10 minutes of his time.

Each time they call me they ask me how much I owe the card company I say 15,000 they give me the whole speech for cheaper interest rates ask for credit card #,give them a fake numbers from the last 8 digits of card, they check ,come back tell me to repeat them I than tell them off ,and they get mad for wasting  there time and hang up

I had a "reduce your credit card rates" call from a woman about four hours ago from 619-324-4656 in California.  I told her that I was going to look for my credit cards.  She asked a couple of times whether I was there before hanging up a while later.  I then received a call from 206-582-7956 in Washington.  The caller said that she was the same woman doing a follow-up call.  I ask about the change in location, and she said that she had not moved but that her company had offices all over the US and the calls might come from any of them.  She accused me of playing and hung up when I asked for her employer's address.

Missed call this morning; didn't ring long enough to get to voice mail.  Answered this evening; 'You are speaking with' and the call disconnected.

For starters guys, it's not a company.   it's a whole ring of scammers.   Trying to get off their list isn't going to work.   They KNOW they're breaking the law and don't care.

I enjoy messing with them.   Waste their time while I get a good laugh out of making them panic or scare the crap out of them.   One time thru the ringer with me and that number gets blocked.

The big thing these fools are trying to bully you for is a credit card number, expiration date and CVV2 code.   Give them one.  Just not yours.   There are pools of ones the real CC companies put out for merchants to use in testing payment systems.  You can only put transactions of 1 or 2 cents on them at a time.   The charges are also reversed at the close of business that day too.  Anything over that small amount gets flagged.  And CC companies do one thing good, it's find people who try to take money from THEM.

I've also hit '1' to speak to a rep.  When they pickup, respond in the most enthusiastic voice possible "thank you for calling the FBI electronic fraud division, this call will be recorded.  How may I assist you?".   The amount of swearing and panic is entertaining.

Start by asking for a rep who speaks Spanish, then French, back to Spanish, back to French and finally hit them with your best Texas accent and sound quite aggravated that they keep transferring you.

Get the phone near a zipper, unzip it slowly.  Ask in the most seductively disturbing voice you can "what are you wearing?".

Repeated calls with a recorded greeting saying it's important info on my credit card.  I answered the first time and hung up.  I stopped answering from this number and have since blocked it.

Called 28Aug2015, 12:34PM PDT with the ungodly name of Peoples Asssista which on first glance I laughingly assumed use from the People's Republic of ?, you fill in the blank. The number is blocked along with a long list of others so I only know they called when I check my Panasonic at the end of the day for missed calls. After reading the comments above I recognize these cc scammers, they have been calling for years from various area codes and numbers throughout the country. It must be a very profitable scam as they persistently call.

Robocall about lowering credit card, doesnt say to whom they are calling or any other account specifics. Calls about every other day.
