    Have gotten 2 calls from them today already, a Sunday no less.  Like Bub17 I just don't answer if I don't recognize the number.  No need to get upset about it.  So what, you hear a phone ring a few times.  Big Deal.

    See how effective the 'Do Not Call List' is! This same number has complaints going back 7 years! Blocked.

    My favorite thing to do if a robo call wants me to press one to speak to a "counselor" or whatever is to do it. Then I start talking to them before they have a chance to say anything. I tell them I am so happy to have someone call me because I am lonely and I wanted to tell someone about Jesus today. Then I launch into a long sermon. Most of the time they hang up on me and I never hear from them again, although I was cursed in Arabic by one caller when I told him that his only hope of heaven is in Jesus Christ.

    Keep getting calls as unknown or private number. Used vonage feature to make callers display info. This number came through. Tired of this B'S of answering and no one on the other end!! How do I report it and remove number from their list???

    This is a company doing research surveys and something is wrong with their calling system. I called 212-260-0070 and got one of their marketing directors who asked me for my number and the state I called from. He told me that he would remove my number and sounded very frustrated as if he's been getting a lot of these calls today. I don't believe that this company is being annoying on purpose, which is refreshing considering most of the scams that you hear about on here. Just call that number and have your name removed from their list. I believe that because this is a research survey company that the Do Not Call List does not apply in this case.

    I called the number that Danielle posted and told them I would like to have my phone # taken off their calling list - that I've gotten a call at 9:00pm (not okay with us!) The guy was nice and said he would take me off the list.

    646-453-1349 has called me several times and when I answer no one is on the other end. Last night they called after 9:00 p.m. - after the allowable time. When I called 212-260-0070 to be removed I told them there is a $500 fine for calling after 9 p.m.  They responded that I need to fill out the appropriate form and send to them. Does anyone know what form I need to send?  The address I was given was:

    Central Marketing
    7th Floor
    70 Irving Place

    646-453-1349, they called on a Sunday 10-12-14 @ 1257pm.and did not leave a message.  Why are they calling on a Sunday??  I thought it is unlawful for them to solicit calls on Sabbath day.  Very sick and tired of this.  DNC list is worthless

    No it is not illegal  and the DNC list has nothing to do with it.  Survey and political calls are exempt.
    Honoring the Sabbath is a choice,   not a law.

    Try contacting your phone company and see if you can block some numbers.  I can go to the Comcast web site and block as many as 25 phone numbers of my choice, as well as all "anonymous" and "800 number" calls.  I love it.  It's the reason I dropped my old service and went to Comcast.

    646-453-1349 11:23 Sunday 10/19/2014. I also received as UNAVAILABLE call at 10:28, but don't know if they were related. No legitimate solicitor calls on a sunday morning. My secondary call blocker was on so all they got was a msg for solicitors th hang up. Unknown real callers are asked to dial a '0' to leave a msg on the answering machine. Everyone should get a call blocker to send these ROBO criminals to the BRINY DEEPS!!!!

    *     HOW TO DEFEAT HARASSMENT/ROBO CALLS!!   CALL BLOCKERS WORK!!
    * *
       I research a harassment/scam caller then post this msg every time a robo number calls.  NEVER press X to opt out, and NEVER respond in any way because it just adds your name to multiple robo calling lists.
    * *
       The federal no-call list is a joke - the government does nothing.  The phone company wants the money from robo companies and will do nothing to stop the harassment/robo calls.  Local police do not have the manpower or technology to track/block these calls. Most robo callers are criminals/scammers.  Here is a one-time relatively low cost way to beat those harassment/robo calls.
    * *
      I have now defeated >90% of harassment and robo calls.  I went on-line to Amazon and purchased an in-line "CPR CALLBLOCKER"!  It has an inventory of up to 1200 numbers in your call blocker list.  Be careful in setting up the list or you get unexpected blockages of valid incoming calls. Start by blocking all calls using caller ID’s of UNAVAILABLE, PRIVATE, or WITHHELD.   I have also blocked many robo area codes which have no friends or family – 201, 212, 231, 303, 304, 305, 307, 312, 321, 323, 331, 347, 360, 401, 516, 518, 608,  630, 650, 708, 740, 773, 810, 815, and 970.  To block robo calls from area codes with friends and family, DO NOT block the area code, use ONLY complete (area code with phone number) 10 digit number inputs to the blocking list.  Add to the list when a new robo/harassment caller gets through!  Never use 7 digit inputs to the blocking list or you will have problems!  Keep a complete written list of area codes and individual blocking numbers.  A small glitch when entering a number into the list can mess up your entire blocking list requiring a hardware reset and complete reprogramming of the list.
    * *
       Harassment/robo callers frequently use a spoofing APP to create phony incoming caller ID’s on your phone. Hidden characters in a spoofer Caller ID’s number can sneak the robo call past some blockers.  I use a separate secondary SENTRY BLOCKER that ignores hidden characters and blocks/kills the call when it’s on.
    * *
       There are many brands of call blockers other than the ones I have described.  Choose yours and BLOCK THOSE HARASSMENT CALLS!!!!!
    * *
       It is really great fun watching my call blocker light-up and then hang-up when the harassment/robo Caller ID matches the blocking list!!!  I especially enjoy it when the call blocker hangs up on a persistent harassment caller!!!  Take back your telephone from harassment/robo callers!!!!

    CALL HISTORY

    BLOCKER CONFIGURATION

                                 |-------------CPR BLOCKER------------PHONE

      CPR BLOCKER has blocker list of 1200 entries for area codes and/or phone numbers. On
                                 detection of block listed numbers the blocker hangs up all lines. All other
                                 callers are passed thru unless Sentry Blocker rejects/hangs up line.

      SENTRY BLOCKER hangs up on all black listed phone numbers. White list numbers are ignored
                                 or passed thru for phone/answering machine. Non-listed numbers have
                                 British/Spanish/German msg for solicitors to hang up, and all other
                                 unlisted callers to dial zero to leave msg on answering machine.
                                 When Sentry Blocker is OFF, all calls pass thru to phone/answering machine
                                 unless blocked by  CPR BLOCKER.

      HOME PHONE rings once if CPR BLOCKER or SENTRY BLOCKER blocks call. Call rings
                                 thru if blockers are OFF or call is passed by blockers.

    It's a political survey.  The Do not call doesn't work in those cases.

    In addition to blocking 25 numbers, Comcast will also selectively forward another 12.  Just find a decent target number and forward those additional 12 numbers to it.  I went online and found a number that is a phone company recording of "The number you have reached is not in service."

    Also, consider using the "NoXMoXRobo dot com" service. This works with Comcast and several other phone companies to block calls.  Remove the X's to find the service - for some reason, this website blocks my posts that spell it out (maybe it's a competitor)?  It also blocks charities and political calls, which is really nice.

    Gompers, that is because they felt it was ok to spam number threads with it despite being asked not to. Its allowed in the forum discussion thread, and there's a couple of those there.  It doesn't work with all phone company's either sadly. At this point, people with regular phone company's should consider call blocking devices or phones.  The newest models out will block private name & number, unknown name & number, area codes as well as some of those numbers that only give a few caller id numbers.  Most are under 40 at this time.

    This is probably the best option at this time for those who can't get the other service.
