(646) 453-1349.  I just googled it and I was very relieved to see that others have had the same problem.  I get 4-5 calls per day (and night) but when I pick up no one is on the line.  I'll try to call the number that's been listed on this board to get my name removed from their calling list.

the 212 number does work.  they said they removed my number from the list.  thanks!!!

I got three calls tonight from this same number. I have seen the list of complaints. All hang ups. I called 212-260-0070 and asked to be removed from their list. Very apologetic and told I would be removed. We will see.
I just don't understand why they hang up.

We are getting calls from Central Research Services, Inc.  The caller ID says "Unknown," but lists the phone number, which is 646-453-1349.  They do political polls, among other things--we are on the National no-call list, so I assume that's why these calls have been getting through.  I do NOT appreciate these calls.

It's a shame they hang up, so you have to call the long distance number to get them to stop calling.  I wonder if they get some kind of monetary kick-back when people call them back to get off the mailing list!  If you google Central Research Services, Inc., which is the organization listed to this number, you can request them to take you off the mailing list that way.  I jsut did that, and, hopefully that will take care of the problem.

I called the 646 number and it gave me three different responses.  One was it was disconnected, the second was it cannot be completed at this time and the third was it was busy.  I found this web site and checked with the number (212) and discussed the nature of their business, and my other numbers being called, with the nature of a third call I just received, and it is a political survey for a particular area subject where you reside.  Therefore, in one area it might be a survey for a type of coffee while in my area it was concerning the state Lt. Gov.

The call I just received showed up as UNKNOWN.

Unfortunately by law we cannot stop this type of calling.  We can just complain and they will be fined.

This number calls 3 times a night and there is never anyone on the other end and hangs up immediately.  Pathetic *&^*&^&s

Has called 3 times a day for the past week.

This number called my house 4 times in less then 2 hours tonight.  There is no one there.

Been called 5 times in the past 4 hours.

Received two call this evening with noone on the other line???

They would call, ask for our housekeeper, then hang-up when I tried to talk to them to find out what they wanted.

We just got one from them now... it's not 10pm yet, but it's past nine. Grr. They need to leave us alone.

And again just now. Not even a half hour later.

the phone rings until I pick up.  Then I get no sound.  It is not a hang up, just no sound.  Then I hang up.
This happened 6/15/07.  It has happened 5 or 6 times before in the last couple of weeks.  I do not call the number back for fear it's one of those high priced scams that operates like a 900 number.

I didn't get their number on caller ID, but I Googled the company name and eventually found this page.  The nerve of them, calling ANYONE'S home at 9:45pm.  Of course they've probably called me other times too, but no one ever said anything on the line before so I guess I'll never know.  My sincerest thanks to whoever located the number above (212-260-0070), & I'll keep my fingers crossed.  
Down with obnoxious survey calls!  When are we going to get some good legislation against this torturous crap?

This place has called 4 or 5 times a day the last two days.  When we answer, we get a click and then a dial tone.  Damned annoying.  I tried to call it back and I get a recording that tells me it's not in service or the call cannot be completed as dialed.

Brad thanks to you and everyone for all these messages posted. These people call us at 3 different phones we have.  Us at 2 homes we have in one state and our son in one another!  One night called him at 11:30pm!EST.  

My husband is recovering from open heart surgery and the last thing you need is phone ringing half dozen times a day! Especially no one there!

God bless whom ever posted the 212-260-0070 info!  They are removing us.
