Since there are now 3 of us called and I got no results from Google, I believe this is not a friend but instead it is a foe. YOU ARE A TELEMARKETER, AND I DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ANY COMPANY THAT USES TELEMARKETING AS A FORM OF ADVERTISING". DON'T ANSWER UNKNOWN CALLS. DON’T HAVE YOUR NUMBER REMOVED! When you press the number to have your number removed, all you do is confirm that your number is a working one and then they sell your known active number to another scammer. Now I either block the numbers or I don't answer the phone at all.

Let me explain my idea of ROBO CALLS. Each area code has 9,999,999 numbers fyi (7 digits). Add to that that there are 800 possible area codes.  The program starts calling every number that it can in succession.  So they don't need to buy or obtain lists from anyone.  I am going to copy and paste and post this info for each number that calls me for this web site (9,999,98 numbers times 800 more to copy and paste to).

NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP THESE SCAMMERS AND LAZY COLLECTION AGENCIES (statute of limitations on debt:  http://www.creditinfocenter.com/rebuild/statuteLimitations.shtml)  who call everyone with the same name instead of looking up the right one and all we can do is block them or use call forward selective..  DNC does not work when they are robo dialing all possible random numbers. The authorities can not or will not help either.

So, just block them, , and continue using this great site for information to be in control of your own home and cell phone calls.  If it turns out that you did not answer a call from someone you know (number not on this site), just call them back.  No problem.  It’s a lot of work that I do (checking the number on this web site, blocking the caller,  but at least I FEEL like I have a little control of the situation. Maybe I'm delusional.  My home phone blocks 30 numbers but the address book holds 3,000 numbers.  I save each call as spam and don't answer it.

The Center for Investigative Reporting joined two news organizations in an investigation of groups that use telemarketers to raise money and what they found is that most of the money is paid to telemarketers, leaving the charities with little, if anything. (3%)

Not only that but reputable charitable organizations don't solicit donations by phone.

So it's good advice to remember to just say no to anyone who solicits over the phone unless you actually personally know the person calling.

Automated spam call to my office, didn't even wait for me to give the greeting.  Recording started off by saying "This is the return call you requested" blah blah blah something about a back brace commercial on TV.  Hung up.

Recording telling me that they were calling me back as requested regarding a back brace I saw on TV....load of crap right there. I pushed 1 to get someone on the phone and told them in my angry voice that I did not make that request and to remove me immediately from their list. She hung up on me. Going to turn them in on the Do Not Call website.

Message said they were returning a call that I requested about a back brace commercial on tv. They wanted me to know that my insurance would cover all costs. Order now!

Just got a call from these clowns, also.  I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

Now that we have call blocking, I don't mind answering these calls ONCE because I know they can't call me again.  So, it was a spam call, with a recording saying that I had called them in response to an ad I had seen on TV which is a big fat lie.  It said to press #1 to speak to a representative, or press #2 to have our number removed from the list.  I pressed #2 so that I'd be able to tell the Do Not Call Complaint Center that I have asked them not to call.  Surprise - #2 also takes you to a representative.  I told him that we had never called them, they were liars and never to call again.  He hung up before I had finished.  They are blocked now.

This number -646-502-9187- Cannot even scam right. Tail end of message left on my machine said; "on t.v."  That's it... there aint no more.      Try a t.v. infomercial next, with information like that, you should be a huge success.

I got a call from these people and they did not leave a message. I have no idea who they are.

I just got a call.  They claim they are calling about Sr. insurance.  I told them not interested remove me from their calling list and they hung up on me.

DO NOT PICK UP THE PHONE!!!!  Report the calls to the FTC (FTC.gov) not the FCC.  If you pick up the phone you will get even more calls.  The more complaints the FTC gets the more likely they are to actually do something so people will stop bothering them them.

Don't bother to call me.  I won't answer telemarketing calls.  PERIOD!

Great advise.  I now have a phone that blocks 2,000 calls.  In 3 months already blocked more than 100 calls.  This is the best site for checking on spam callers, and your input is much appreciated.  Thank you
