Same experience as above, called from a private number, also called from this NY phone number. Says her name is something like Rachel Kelly and she’s trying to serve me documents and this is the final notice. Weird thing is, she was calling my husband’s phone. Also, she was muffled the whole time so I could barely hear her talk... it wasn’t until the second VM that I could actually make out what she was saying. Obviously no one ever showed up and this was a scam.

Called leaving a message:
"This message is fully intended for Alyson, this is Matthew Collins I am a process server calling you today regarding certified documents that have been received by my office and scheduled to deliver to your home or place of employment on this Friday, October 18. If you have any further questions or need to reschedule your served date contact my office at 956.247.4302. When calling please provide the file number xxxxxxx. Alyson this is your official notice"

From the get go this all sounds messed up! If you are summons, the U.S. Postal Service or a process server will summons you (they just pop up they won't give you a heads up). Real court officials won't call you on the phone, either.

I called back before googling the number that dialed spoke to a guy who revealed the companies name is ACA Mediation. I asked him to please tell me what the ACA stood for. He said nothing it was just a name.  I started googling and couldn't find anything on the web about an ACA mediation.  I asked him if this is in reference to a debt he said no, it was a mediation service for non criminal and non violent crimes.  I asked him how he got the numbers that were dialed he said that someone else makes the calls. I asked what the call was in reference to, at which point he requested the file number. I gave it, he then stated that please keep in mind the file number is just for in house processing.  He wouldn't tell me any specifics as I would not admit nor deny that I was Alyson. I kept asking questions because I knew he would get irritated and hang up and well folks that's what happened.

The thing that is upsetting is he called two government lines. One my government issued cell phone and then desk phone. I let him know this and told him that I would be sending this up my chain of command if they ever called again. A short time after my Dad called me in panic mode said someone called him and left pretty much the same message for me.  He's old so if he had of answered he might have paid money if requested or etc. to protect me.

Oddly enough no one called my husband (shrugs).

received voicemail that Hannah Smith, an independent courier is "contacting you in regards to certified documentation that was forwarded this morning unfortunately as of today I have been hired to distribute these documents to you at your residence or place of employment...." and a telephone number to call 855-941-1134 to get further information.

They called staying they were a process server, for my EX-husband, whom I've not seen in over 8 years. Don't even know if he is dead or alive. How did they get my number? And they said  "consider yourself served." Well hello, he ain't here, ain't served, and wrong number!

Just got a call from this number,  and it recorded my voice and was playing it back to me! Scam scam scam!

Same thing here. Called my cell, left message. Got me at work saying she wanted a time to schedule her serving me a civil judgement on Thursday. I asked for what? (When a lawsuit is filed against you, they don't make appointments, they just serve you, usually at home at night when you are home) and she couldn't tell me. Gave me a number to call to get the "lawsuit" settled. I called them and it went to voicemail. I Googled 'her client's phone number' and it was noted that they were running a SSA scam.
I kept calling both phone numbers all day, attempting to harass them and get a human on the phone, but no one picked up and the lady's phone goes to a fast busy.
Total scam.
I'll report them to the FTC and FBI scam websites tomorrow. Jerks! (I was so ready for a nice verbal fight but no one picked up).

Someone named Elena Thompson called twice. The first time the number was blocked but the second time she called from 646 982 0993 and left a message both times advising me to call the filing party at 469 552 2847 for more information. This person has also called my mom with the same information. Needless to say, I haven't called back and don't plan on it. After reading the previous reviews, I don't owe anyone anything and do not have a criminal record. Total Scam!!!

Someone named Naomi Jones called me from this number on a Monday regarding service, saying that I was going to be served papers at my home or place of employment on the following Wednesday, no one showed. Called me again on Thursday saying that I would be served on Friday and that it was my final notice. Both times she gave me a reference number and a phone number to call to speak to the "plaintiff" and the "filing party" to find out more or reschedule the the service. The first call came from 646-982-0993, the second from Unknown. I called the number she provided and It rang a few times before playing hold music for a bit until a recording starting saying that "the person at 100 is unavailable, please leave a message or hang up." The phone number that she told me to call 956-540-5263 is from McAllen, Texas.

This is the fake process server scam. If you had actually spoken to someone, they would have told you that you could pay your way out of being served, which you can't. They would tell you to put money on a gift card of some sort (they're fond of iTunes & Steam) then to give them the number on the card. You would be out your money and would likely receive more such calls because you fell for the scam once & they'll think they can get you again.

Did you also receive a call from 6469820993 and they told you this?  They called me or someone called "Hannah" and said they would be serving to my home or place of employment within 4 business days and to call a number with any questions.

NO real process server is going to call in advance because you could simply avoid them.

They said that they were Verizon and that my account was suspended

Called advising my "Verizon Wireless" account has been suspended and I need to take immediate action.  Complete scam.

I just got the same for my ex-husband! I'm remarried and haven't seen him in over 12 years! My phone's in my husband's name!

No one is going to calling to let you know you're going to be served. She called for my ex wife that I have not been with or seen for over 10 years.

These folks need to be in jail .
I have had numerous calls from this Charlotte person who leaves me threatening VM from various NY , Waynesville, UNKNOWN, numbers , if they want me , come and get me . I don’t have time to fall for scams , and I am too smart for you ppl . Please somebody arrest these ppl .maybe they will get a new job in the jail . I am tired of these calls .

Of course you have reported these calls to the New York state  attorney general, haven't you??
