They are rude and want to argue.  I told Ms Rude to send me a letter since she has my address.  I hung up after that.  Should I tell them now or later that I am in bankruptcy?

I recently moved into my parents old house keeping thier phone service and what not. This number had been calling for weeks now and I finally decided to answer it and tell them just like I tell everybody else. They have the wrong number. Its not a lie cause she dont live here no more. When i  told the guy that he tells me or actually hollars at me..."seriously? your gonna tell me you dont know (my moms full name)." I told him thats not what i said, what i had said is that he had the wrong number but by the time i even finished my sentence he had hung up on me already. I just know the caller id said Goggins Lavint...couldnt read the resst of the name

We are receiving calls as well !!
Can someone put them out of business. They are uneducated scammers.

I just recieved a call from this number. I answerd the call and they were asking for my husband. I couldnt hear them on the phone very well so I asked them to repeat what they said three times. The third time i asked the lady became very rude to me and told me that they need to talk to him as soon as he got back. I told her that he wouldnt be home for a week and he didnt have another number that they could reach him at. I asked if there was a number that I could have him call them on and they hung up on me. These people are rude! If you get a call from this number just hang up the phone! they are rude as hell!!!

I keep getting calls from this number and I have not answered them nor will I after reading the other notes on here.  thanks everyone.  I think I'll change my phone number.

The caller said I should take the call in private.   I hung up!

I called them back and told them they had the wrong number.  Never heard from them again.

I did a little bit of extra research and found this company while looking. Goggins & Lavintman, P.A. They have a website but it is very amature it looks very simple not a web site a good atorney would use.

Got a call from this number when answered they were very rude and like all others said they already sent out the information so they were not going to send it again.

So by the state law I live in I am going to put a request in writing to them and then they can either respond within 30 days or it can be dismissed.  Stupid bill collectors with unfair tactics.

Yea i just got a call today, they are quite rude and dissrepectful, I also stated i wanted a letter and she said not at this time i said well when she said we sent one already. And told me that planning my sons party was stupid and called me the B word and hung up. Doesnt sound legit to me/

i checked and they are on the bbb website and have a form for filing a complaint, i would pass this info along and get as many people to file a complaint as possible

I got a voicemail today from this place. I called them back and they told me about a bad check back in 2006. See, I believe these people and then another place is trying to collect payment from a $24 bad check I wrote to pizza ranch. Alright, I believe one place to be legit and the other place is a scam. These people called me wanting $166 today. Miss Heather Rogers was completely insulting. I told her I wasn't going to do anything if she wouldn't quit insulting me. I'm happy I didn't give out my information. The legit place is asking for like $48. Now all of a sudden it jumped up to $166 by this other place?????? I was like no way! So, I asked this Heather lady for the number to the state legislature and address LIKE SHE SAID I could do in the first place, then she LAUGHS at me. I asked for her bosses number as well and she said No. They are threatening some kind of action if they don't get my cooperation. Well they sure aren't getting a single penny from me. The next time I am in Madison, I am going to that pizza Ranch and giving them $25. I really didn't even know about the check because that account was from when I was in highschool at my mother's address and she just doesn't have the patience to be running mail to wherever I am at so I honestly didn't even know a check had bounced. The lady that wanted $48 from me some months ago was probably legit and I was pregnant and on bed rest and didn't want to have my significant other pay on my bad check for double the amount. If that lady ever calls me back, I'll be happy to do business with her because I truly think I can get something written and then send them a money order or something. There is NO WAY I'm doing business with these people that called me today (whoever they are!) Totally rude, short, hung up, and refused to give me further contact information. We could barely understand her over the voicemail too...

They dont give the "Mini Miranda" (This communication is from a debt collector and any information obtained will be used for that purpose).  This is a violation of FDCPA. I work in this industry and I would be willing to say they are legitimate. Tell em you are filing bankruptcy, they will leave you alone.

Somehow these people got my work number which is where I draw the line.  I have no idea who they are and they have no business calling my work.

I received a message fro. This number today.  I am glad I googles the number and found all of you as the lady left a message and demanded that I call her right away.  I have no outstanding debt and pay all my bills on time so I was a bit upset at the call and would have called them tomorrow.  But I won't now.  Would have been funny though if they said  I had bad checks as I don't write checks and haven't for years...  Thanks for all the good feedback.

You must be a debt collector...  these people called me and I have NO outstanding debt and haven't written checks In years.  If I owe money I pay it so I do take offense to what you are saying.  Pay your bills and they won't bother you?  That is a bunch of crap..  I don't know who they are and have never received anything from anyone saying I owe money so why are they calling if they are legit??  I am thinking  they aren't... Giving you the benefit of the doubt maybe you do a job like that but not everyone is you... It does take a different breed of people to do this kind of work... I have a couple of friends that have done this kind of work and they got burnt out rather  quickly as their pay check depended on how much they collected and that is why people turn so rude trying to get people to hand over money.  I guess if that is how you get paid then you will do or say whatever to get your paycheck...

I was told my husband had a returned check for $700 and they wanted $1,000. Would not take payment arrangements.
