I have had the same experience. i talked to a guy saying i owed almost 2,000 dollars for dozens of checks, I asked for notification in mail to show me how much i owed and for what, he said we have already sent them, and we will put down you are refusing to pay. I explained i am not refusing to pay, i just want to know where to send it. he wouldn't tell me that either, he told me i am refusing to pay. I belive this is all scams, and if he was real in the state of minnesota, they are required by law to send something in writting if requested also it took for me to say i used to be a debt collector for him to read the maranda right which is required by the state of minnesota at the beginning of any collection call. It took 10 mins into the conversation before he read that. So I don't believe any of this is real

These bums are scammers who say they are a law firm and refuse to document anything. Can someone put them out of business. .

If they are claiming to be a law firm (when they are not), and refuse to validate the debt (both are violations of the FDCPA), you need to report them to the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/.

same as everyone else except I haven't answered in 6 months. I keep a list of these phonies on my desk top- there are about 40 of them and just don't answer, because I can't block them and they don't stop calling, so I just click ignore on the phone.

Received a call on the work phone asking for my husband, I took the call and told them I was his wife..they stated  they were working for a client Georgia Check Recovery and I owed money.  I knew what check they were speaking of because Georgia Check Recovery tried to scam me in 2008 and 2009..the debt was owed and paid before the scam calls in 2008.   Did not pay Georgia Check Recovery and will not pay these people either. My question is how do they get their information???  The NSF check was returned to the company and they called me and I took care of it then and there.  When I received the calls from Georgia Check Recovery I went to the owner of the company I wrote the check to and asked if he had reported it to anyone and he said no.  He called me...very strange how these companies get their information.

They are legit attorneys but they are absolutely horrible people. Not a friendly among the bunch. They've been harassing me like crazy trying to find some girl named Angie and I've told them over and over again they have the wrong number. The woman on the phone was so incredibly rude to me I actually filed a telephone harassment charge and am still waiting to hear back on that. Only been about a wk since I filed. If the charges are not legit, I would file a complaint. They call me so much I'm changing my phone number because of them. What part of 'you have the wrong number' is so freaking hard to understand? I swear. Lawyers. Dumbest species ever, lol.

I have received phone calls from Kevin Johnson as well.  I asked for him to send be an itemization of what was owed.  He told me he would not because he they had already sent it.  I told him I was not going to give money to someone just because they called me and told me I owed them money.  He said that he would pass my information on to "the attorney"

I just got a call from this number and they as well as everone else says was rude and obnoctious and said I needed to give her my credit card info and I said I would call back 0n 15FEB13. The person said she mark it down as refusal to pay. Did they ever take you to court?

They have called me several Times. Wanting money for a check? Wont send me proof Of this. Since I do not use Banks, I doubt it's legit. I have no Checking accounts or a Bank. When I told her this She said  I was a GD Liar. I ended the call there.

I have been receiving calls from this number for awhile also . I just answered it, was looking for my ex-husband of 10 yrs. So I had to look up the number I should of gave it to them. LOL

I do not owe any past debt.

they called me today, the lady didnt give me her name but was rude, they said we owed a check from 2 yrs ago i no we paid, my husband called and said ill send a money order and she got irratte..  and all they wanted was credit info, we also asked for a letter to be sent out stateing the claim and they said they already sent one,,, bull,,,,, there not getting no credit info and if we even owed the check we would take it up with the store or the bank not them!!!!!!!  dont you think if we had a outstanding check from 2 yrs our bank would have sent notice? i mean come on..

Just got hung up on as well- googled the phone number and here I am! Well I'll be a monkey's uncle. Glad they didn't get any of my money, now I'm just mad that I treated these people with respect at all and wasted my time.

I used to work with a woman named Annie Jones there, I had a lot of money in medical bills that I knew I owed and she helped me to even get itemization from the hospital! although I couldn't afford to pay very much she was willing to work with me with what I could and little by little we were getting it taken care of. But the past 4 months I have been getting harassed by someone else who said Miss Jones isn't with the company anymore and they won't take my small payment each month and are trying to make me pay the whole thing off!!!! I read all these stories about bad experiences and I am starting to have those bad experiences, if only they had more reasonable and kind employees like miss Annie Jones.... Not paying them another dime on principle!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bad thing is---unless you got a payment agreement in writing, it leaves the door open for collection agencies to develop "selective amnesia". I know of a family member who went through the same thing with another collection agency. Less than three weeks after she paid the verbally agreed amount, the same collection agency was harassing her again, claiming they had *never* made such a verbal agreement, demanding payment in full. It was only after she threatened to turn them into our state's AG they finally backed off.

Have been receiving calls from this number for over three months.  As I do not  answer out of area code calls that I do not recognize the number, I just put them on blocked.  It didn't stop them, then they started leaving voicemail messages threatening legal action.  As I don't owe any past debts I called them.  Said they are looking for someone I have never heard of, and would remove my number.  Three days later another call.  Then today another one.
I called them and raised so much hell that they hung up on me.  lol
