Have fun with these telemarketers.  If they waste my time, I waste theirs.  I've gotten to the point of answering the phone and setting it down.  Don't say anything, just keep doing whatever you're doing.  This makes them answer the phone and wait.  Since they won't stop, we won't.  Ever since I cancelled my subscription, I'm getting plenty of these.  I just keep answering them and waiting for them to hang up.

The conversation went like if I was Mr Cohen, which I am not, reply we can offer you the same offer we are offering Mr Cohen for extended services for the Arizona Republic. Since I was not Mr Cohen they could still offer me the same discounts with extended service, the caller could see me but did not see my account number which I wanted to have validated since I am in Chicago during this call. When I asked for a supervisor the call was ended.

I just cancelled the Arizona Republic, so I presume it's them.  I don't answer the calls.

This is ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We canceled our subscription to AZ republic months ago and these calls have gotten out of hand, I told them we were on the do not call list and they still call. This is pissing me off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's the AZ Republic calling in Az. They wanted me to re-sign told them no . They keep calling so I just have the fax answer maybe they'll get tired of it, one can only hope. The fact that they have the number from a previous transaction with them I guess they don't have to abide by the DO NOT CALL list.

CAlled me for months, asked them several times to take me off their list.  They are still calling, they do not remove you from the list even when you ask.  AZ Republic.

I just canceled my Arizona Republic Newspaper two days ago, and just got this call from 651-288-2874.

I can tell you how to get a person on the line - I pick up my phone and don't say a word.  Then, after ten seconds or so, they'll ask for me.  Then I tell them to stop calling!  Lot of good it does though - just got another call this morning after telling them on Friday to stop calling here.  Three calls on Friday, one today.  Too bad the National Call Registry is so ineffective.  Wish I could block specific numbers on my phone.

I have received calls from this number also. Called it back and its for a marketing company. I received these calls before from a different number. Same thing would happen. They call constantly and when you answer they hang up. Last time I answered and didn't say anything, that's when they asked for me. I told them that they needed to quit calling and take to take my number off their list. They said ok but that night they called again. So I did the same thing to get someone on the line, then told them I had told them to remove my number they gave me some bull about automatic dialer and told me to call a number they gave me to get my number off the list. This has worked for about 3 months. Of course I don't have that number anymore...

How do you get them to stop calling??

I canceled my subscription to the Arizona Republic and I have been receiving two calls a day from this number ever since, and time of day seems to mean nothing to these people. I didn't answer for the first two weeks but then I just got too curious. Then a pushy salesperson told me that she was selling subscriptions to the paper so I explained several times that I was not interested. I best part, I was actually missing my Sunday paper being delivered and contemplating restarting my subscription, but would never do business with a company that uses my personal information in this way.

Good luck trying to get them to stop. These calls are from A Marketing Resource in St. Paul, MN. They represent newspapers nationwide (they call me because we canceled our AZ Republic subscription). We've told them politely and NOT politely not to call; I've left messages on their voicemail; I've complained to AZ Republic AND to the national do not call registry; and the calls are continuing. The owner's name is Ed Spagnola. His email is espagnola@amr-advantage.com.  If anyone can figure out how to get these calls to cease, please advise. My next step is registered letters to the company and to the MN attorney general's office, and then I'll seek an order of harassment. Any other ideas?
