I have never subscribed to a newspaper or any type, and therefore never un-subscribed to a newspaper of any type, yet I am receiving the hang-up calls as well.  Very annoying. Worst part is they call just as my child is falling asleep, and they wake her up.

I receive phone calls from this phone number 651-288-2874 everyday. This has been going on for about two weeks now. I don't know who they are, and they do not leave messages. I woud prefer they not call.

The Pioneer Press, MN, keeps calling me, like 4-5 times/week, asking me to purchase a subscription to their newspaper.  I decline, and ask them to take me off the caller list.  They agree to do so.  It doesn't work, they call again & again.  What can be done about this?  This is harassment, no doubt!

Please stop calling!

Changing your phone number won't help.  I just got a new phone number and my first call was from 651-288-2874 within the first ten minutes of getting my new number.  They have been calling me at least three times a day since I got my new number and haven't stopped.  They leave no messages and when I pick it up, they hang up.  Very annoying!!  It has been over a month and they won't stop calling my number.

I keep getting these calls and I live in upstate NY.....the caller id says Local News

Just keep calling as "local news" but never leaves a message.  We just cancelled our newspaper.

Upstate NY. recently cancelled subscription to the  Binghamton Press & Sun.  I haven't answered  any
of the calls.

another hang up call....I am on the do not call registry for years now, and all of a sudden I am getting these calls...and no one is there!  So frustrated!

This is my home and personal cell phone number.  These marketing calls are unwanted and unsolicitated.  They need to stop immediately!

Getting multiple calls per day from  651-288-2873.  ID 'LOCAL NEWS'  Leaves no message so do not call back...   Would like it to stop...

I have been getting these messages for weeks. No message left on the recording system. Interestingly my wife recently dropped the local newspaper. I am also on the do not call list.

Cancelled our subscription to Burlington Free Press, so I'm betting that's why this "Local News" keeps calling. Either way, I'm not answering and if I can tie this firm to Gannet (they own Burlington Free Press), I'll know for sure and will file a complaint with Gannet and the BFP.

Caller ID says "Local News".  That's funny, area code 651 is over 1,000 miles away.  The phone rang a couple times, I answered and the line was dead.

I get a lot of these "Spam" calls on my cell phone so, I save the number in my phone as "Spam and what ever the next number of spams I have.  I am on Spam25 now with this call.  When they call again I know it is spam and reject the call over and over again.  So far it has worked well because I do not get any call from my spams 1 through 22 any more.  It usually takes a couple of weeks rejecting the call and then they quit calling.  I just don't waste my time trying to tell them not to call or reporting them because it dosn't work.  Ignoring them does.
