- Annoyed in MTCaller ID said Twin Cities, MN. I answered...in a thick Indian accent they also tried to tell me my computer was "having problems". I told them I was reporting them to the authorities as a scam. The guy's response was classic: "fock off". That's what it sounded like to me anyway :)
- need more javaYep, the dorks called this am. I recently purchased a refurbished computer and installed windows 7 but I have no idea how they got my number. I certainly hope not from the business I purchased it from. I also give false phone number info on most requests to avoid the number going viral if they don't let me leave it blank. Sometimes all zeros if it lets me.

- HevymetlMess with these guys. Microsoft will NEVER call you about your PC. 1) They are in the business of making money, they don't have the time to call everyone who has a Windows operating system with problems (there are just too many). 2) They don't have any way to know if your system was infected or not.
Here is what you do: NEVER give any real personal information. Make stuff up.
If they want you to download something, tell them you are going to, tell them it is downloading and go make a cup of coffee while keeping them on the phone. Every so often, tell them it's still downloading. Say you are on a dialup modem and it might take a few hours to complete.
Ask them what their company ID is.
Tell them you work at Microsoft too and ask what division they are in. Ask if they know Dominic in division 12, and if they answer yes, tell them there is no division 12.
Keep wasting their time as much as possible until they get fed up and hang up on you.
They have to pay for the call, you don't. - surfer replies to lmjust got a call broken up foreign language about something being activated, hung up, would not have even answered if I wasn't expecting a call from a dealership.
- DanielGot another call from this Indian accented idiot claiming to be the Technical Department of Windows operating system. He wanted to take control of my computer to clean viruses. When I told him I don't have a computer he said "Oh my god" and hung up.

- AlenaLast night June 3, 2014 at 9:30pm I received from a foreign man stating he was a technican from Microsoft and that they were receiving high reports of Malware and someone getting into my computer. He then ask me to follow his instructions. He had me hold down the windows icon and then the R. a screen popped up with Eventevr. I was told to click of this and all these errors came up. I sort believed him because a week ago someone got a hold of my debt card and tried to make a purchase my Bank had to cancel my card and issue a new one. After the man told me that he could fix this problem for a fee I told him I would have my Cousin check my computer and he hung up. I later googled the number and found that this is a Scam coming from India using a US phone number.

- Pat6516984075 calls at all hours of the day and have used other numbers. Usually a man with east-Indian accent. It is a scam. We hang up immediately now but government dept needs to do something about these scammers. I am on the Do Not Call list . The government and phone companies should work together to allow FREE blocking of phone numbers as we, the people, should have control over unwanted, intrusive harassment.
- rayI received a call today from 651-698-4075 and of course it was a guy with a indian accent and he asked to speak to the primary internet user and I asked him for what? he then hung up..lol
- satisfactionJust received a call...AGAIN. These people are relentless. This time I told him to hang on, that I was turning on my computer. I went and got a small metal coffee can out of my garage, placed the phone receiver in it and then blew a fog horn into the can. Guess what ? He must have hung up. :)

- Mr.GuiLuiWhen they called my house they tried to only speak to the children of the house and then have them do what they wanted them to do on the computer.
My wife intervened when the caller was scaring my boy and he handed the phone over. After doing so the person on the phone was verbally abusing my wife trying to get my son back on the phone.
Whoever these people are, they are true scum and I hope that the law finds them.
I black listed them, but that they are targeting children is horrible. - joe blowThese guys are fun to play with. I always ask them about their sister and if they know what she doing in America. Then i tell them False information about my computer. Then I tell them where to go ___K themselves. They like to use American swear words. I get a kick out of them.
- kealy bobTwo calls after 9:00 PM local time in the last five days. The first call they said I had a virus and would I please log on to my computer so they could fix it - I almost rolled out of bed I was laughing so hard. Tonight they asked if I was main user on my computer. I said, "shouldn't you already know the answer to that if you are calling from windows?" They hung up on me. I wonder how many poor people actually fall for this and then pay heck to get their computers and credit reports cleaned up afterward.

- Brandon king| 3 repliesNo no guys. I let them access my PC by supplying my ip addy. They were terrific and fixed my many viruses on my PC. All I had to do was give them my admin password and they did the rest. Excellent service. I highly recommend Rasheed he was great. Handing over my cc number was no problem given they only charge 5.99usd to solve it all.

Gunnar - nerbThese clowns have called us several times over the last few months. I talked to them once before and tried to get off their list since I know the scam. Nothing seems to stop them. Makes you sad people can be so awful. They should be ashamed.

- lse999These people called and used my mothers name. She does not have a computer of her own and mine is off when I am not here. These are dangerous people who have access to your personal info. Do not pick up these calls. Someone has inside of a company has to be helping or they would not have names. Be very aware of how bad this scam is.
