- RandallSCAM! My computer works just fine. Hang up on them anytime they call.

- AlohaThis is a pointless exercise in futility. My computer is fine and I don't want to keep their number as a contact for future computer repairs either. They sound shady and sleazy. I wouldn't trust them. I don't believe anything they say. Good luck.

- AnneCalled me at 4:40am! The caller ID says Twin Cities, MI. I picked it it b/c I thought someone had died. Talks about my computer(doesn't make sense). Got another call half an hour later at 5:22am where the Caller ID says Out of Area. These calls are annoying during the day but maddening(not to mention scary) in the middle of the night. How do I stop calls at this time?

- JoanneMan with Indian accent asked for the person who had our phone number before we did (11 years ago). He kept going on about how my computer is vulnerable to hacking and needs to fix it. He said he was calling from Microsoft. When I told him I just have an I-pad, he wanted to know if I was under or over 25. He then wanted to know if I am married or single. He also wanted to know my Facebook account. Of course, I told him that none of this is your business. We then insisted on becoming my friend. I told him that I didn't want to be his friend. He insisted that he's a nice guy and wants to be my friend. I used a few curse words at him and simply laughed at him. Then, I turned up my radio, placed the phone by the radio and walked away. Eventually they will hang up. They once told me that they're not allowed to hang up. So that gives me the opportunity to mess around and waste his time. Plus, they're paying for the call. Don't ever give these jerks any personal info. In the end, the guy never knew who he was talking to since he had the wrong name.

- jessieI've been harassed by these folks for over a YEAR now. For the last three months it's been the number out of MN. It's always the same indian guy who says something about my computer, or will just try to hit on me.
Nothing I've done has gotten them to STOP calling. They call at least 3-4 times a DAY! This is just the most recent installment. It's getting out of hand.- Caller: Scammer [***]
- Nataliethese people are calling me 3-4 times a day. I ask them to remove my number and he says he can't help me. Then, within 15 minutes, he calls again, same voice, different name. Last night they called at almost 11pm. How do I block them or stop them from calling. I usually just ignore the call, but this is getting ridiculous. I told him I didn't have a home computer and he told me I was a micro soft user. I told him I didn't have a home computer and that is the truth. He, however, insisted on arguing with me. Maybe next time they call and ask me to turn it on I will go with it and say ok. what do they do? try to hack into it or something?? ugh...
- Caller: micro-soft
- VincentIt's not a good idea to give them any info. I don't have facebook for this reason. Its a stalking device and too distracting. There are many jealous people out there. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt for a while but after a point I simply close the door and move on. No regrets. I am usually the last holdout in any given situation just to be 100% sure but when I go it means the situation is a total loser. I have put up with these prank calls for several years and about a year ago I decided to keep hanging up on them. Putting a radio in their ear is also a good idea. I don't have the time to talk to them at length. They don't have anything to offer (nothing that I would want) except BS. No thanks.

- LauraI got a call this morning at 5:54 am. It woke my sick husband up after he had just gotten to sleep. We are discussing removing our home phone because of these annoying calls.
- AnnaWhat happened in Anne's post (11 hours earlier) just happened to me! I had gotten these scam calls before so I already blocked the number. Today they called at 3:37pm. The phone rang once then went silent since the number was blocked. One hour later at 4:38pm I got a call that showed as "Out of area". Since I have relatives and friends overseas so I answered the call. And guess what!!! It's the Indian accent telling me he's from Microsoft Technical Dept.!!! I just hung up on him.
So these people are sneaky!!! If they cannot get thru to you, they'll try again from a number that'll show as "Out of area". - Violins playing| 1 replyThese people are so mean and insensitive. My whole family is sick and we have not received our welfare check yet. The phone is about to get shut off. This is not a time or place to make prank calls to us. Whoever you are and we know you are not from Microsoft go away and leave us in peace.

- AE LagoaFor the past 2 weeks, I've gotten call after call after call from this number at all hours of the day. Caller ID says the call is coming from Twin City, MN. A guy with a very thick accent (Indian, Pakistan perhaps) with a lot of background noise. He says he's calling from "Windows Technical Support" and that he's received inumerous emergency messages from my computer that need attention. Emergency messages from my computer? Now, how is that possible? If I let the machine pick it up, no message is left. Clearly fraud! Clearly illegal! He won't stop calling!!
- Caller: Twin City, MN
- Disturbed| 1 replyI keep getting a call from 651-698-4075 saying my computer had a problem and wanted me to turn on my computer. I could not understand them because of the Asian accent, so I told them I could not have a conversation and commit to anything with them and hung.
- bigtexJust tried to call my home phone. Answering machine was turned off, I didn't answer and they hung up after seven rings. Looks the like Phony Computer Scammers are at it again. I will go ahead and file a complaint with the FTC about them, based on the previous posts.
