The man on the other end scared me on comport viruses, and now wants to give me a refund.

Ignore these calls.  This is a scam. There is NO refund.

I was working and this number called. It was a man with an old weak voice claiming he fell into his trunk and got locked in. I quickly ran out to the parking lot to try and find him, but after awhile some radio sounds came on and said, “you’ve been butt-slammed!!.” I asked what radio station it was and a young man with an American voice said it was 93.7, which is not a radio station in my area. He also said it was a morning broadcast, and it was actually 4:30 in the afternoon. He continued to laugh at me and say I won $1,000. I told him I didn’t believe him, and he said “yeah you’re right, I’m not giving you any money... sooo what’s up?” I told him I needed to get back to work and he told me that there was an old man with $200 in a briefcase that I won, and I just hung up on him.

Didn't answer because I didn't know the number. The message left was, "This message is for "blah blah," it is an emergency, just answer the phone.

I tried calling them back, no answer. Must really be an emergency. How do I help them? I want to give them my social security number as well so they can resolve my interwebs issues.

My computer froze w/a "Microsoft" logo and help number, short story: scammed out of $300 for repair via remote control.  Ensuing email originated from: "MicroSoft" using a company called Aptus.  I got my $ back from my bank.  This happened in 2017 and I'm STILL getting cold calls from this number 661-748-0240 as they have me down as once having given them $.  They call and try gaslighting me into giving them $ again.  I'm an Army vet on PTSD disability and was stupidly fooled by this scam the first time; I've reported to the FBI anti-fraud site and have been ignored.  Anyway - they're very adept at psych scamming, so F them in the A.

OK, people. 661-748-0240 is NOT a scammer or phishing phone number. It is a outbound number always used by SKYPE subscribers to call landline & cell phones. So although the caller is unknown, the number  661-748-0240 that IS shown, is actually totally legit. It's Skype.  Unfortunately a lot of scammers are using Skype to make spam calls.

They both should have used you.  Calling Darla at 2am!! Where is your proof that this is the phone number that belongs to Anna Heideracheit?  You live many states away and she doesn't know you alledgedly!!  You are just wanting to cause trouble..

Where is your proof that this number belonged to miss Heiderscheit!! She never had a phone with this number!!  They both should sue you and this site!!

You came here, posted twice under different screen names and then asked the same question of two different posters that clearly posted here in 2013 with the expectation that will be stopping back after 7 years to give you an answer?  One other thing, what does:

I'm curious as to why you looked up this phone number? And why should "they" (whoever "they" are) sue this site?

The first call came through with no phone number available. The guy was asking for someone who does not work for the company. He was rude...I hung up. He called back from this number. Stated that it was his second call, then proceeded to ask for someone different (using a combination of the companies name). I asked who was calling. He couldn't answer the question and became agitated with me. I hung up...again.

No one, and I do mean no one has ever been slandered on this site.  However lying shills like you are treated with disdain and disrespect because we hate liars here.  Looks like your "looking for attention" post has been reported to the mods for removal as well.
