Got a call this morning while on travel to Mexico.  I did not recognize the number and did not answer.  Looks like I made a wise decision based on everyone's comments since I would have had to pay the international charge on a scumbag scam.  Regards.

They called from 661-748-0240 and two minutes later from 661-380-3000 they didn't leave a message either time.  They call endlessly.  They just called again as I was writing this message and I answered and they too said I needed to purchase some software.  I stated I am on the DO NOT CALL List and my log was being sent to the registry the guy said who cares.

I'm getting regular calls from this number, and others. My fiance's mother had me do some thing on my phone to 'stop telemarketers from calling a mobile line.' I'd never had them call before. Now that I've done this, I'm getting calls from strange numbers on a daily basis. Thanks, ma-in-law! -_-

just got a call from this number, a lady with a very thick asian accent asked for me by name, first, middle and last name.  I asked who she is, she stated she is with a pharmacutical Company.  I advised I never do business with such companies that call me on a cell phone on a Saturday morning and that my number is on a gov. do not call list... she hung up,,, i tried to call back but i recvd a msg that the phn is for a skype user only...  ???

Also had a call from this number. Didn't pick up and didn't leave a message. Got the same Skype message when I tried to call back.

Seems to be something that started just a few days ago.

Got 2 voicemails from this number yesterday morning and can't hear/understand what the male is saying. Very creepy and just weird! Called back and it said it was a number from a Skype user.

Didn't leave a message. I didn't recognize # so didn't answer.

I have been getting calls from this number from a guy that I met on an internet dating site.  He says his name is Shankar and that he is from Sri Lanka. He also said he is calling from Chicago, but this is a California area code. He has also called me from 661-748-0245, 0240, 0244, 0245, 0242 and 661-380-3000. He tried to speak inappropriately to me and now I don't answer his calls and he doesn't leave messages.  A couple of the numbers are Skype...

This is a Skype  caller ID number.  I have a son and other friends and relatives living overseas.  They call often using their computer and Skype.  The reason is the call is free or minimal fee compared to an overseas phone call.    Most of the time the caller ID show up with this number or another starting with the 661 area code.   It doesn't matter if the call comes from India, Egypt or Kwait.  The same or similar caller ID shows.    Unfortunately,  scammers also know how to use Skype which will show up with the same ID.    Some legit companys also use Skype but the would most likely leave a message.
I have to answer this number in case it is my son or a friend.  I  get scam calls from this number.  I just hang up.  They don't care if you are on the do not call list because they know they won't be caught  by using Skype.

I got a call from this number yesterday from my son in Thailand.  The call was very clear.  He told me he was using Skype.      I tried to reach him on that number today and could not connect.  I wonder what's up with thi Skype number.  I googled the number and this is how I found these posts

Received a call from this number last night at 12:06 pm... The call was clearly a mid aged male and stated that it was KissFM.  He asked my named and said if I answered their question correct I would win a weekend to sixflags.  He asked "What coast is Tupac from" I replied with "Oh the west coast" He cheered and announced that I won but then I hung up. This is strange considering I spent the last few days researching TuPac...

Yes, you can stop the calls!  I received one, sometimes up to three calls a day from Canadian Pharmacy using this and a dozen other numbers. for over 3 years until I finally fought back! Here's the secret: Their computer makes tens of thousands of calls a day, routed through different numbers all over the country, only connecting you to a salesperson when you say "hello".  At the first sign of negativity, they simply hang up. It costs them nothing! You will never get off the automated call list until you order something.

So DO IT! Be sure to ask lots of questions, change your mind several times, haggle on price. Then give them your address, email and credit card number (all fake!). The first time I kept the woman on the phone for 45 minutes. After she ran the fake card number (always use the correct first 2 digits), she desperately tried to call me 10 times a day for 3 days. Finally I answered and told her the credit card was canceled and gave her another. 3 more days of calling with no answer and it all stopped - for 3 months!!

I repeated the process, this time saying I had no credit card and was in the middle of switching bank accounts. After an hour on the phone fielding my stupid repeat questions and placing a $200 order, he sent instructions (to a fake email) on how to pre-pay using Western Union. He called 10 times a day for a week to figure out why they hadn't gotten the money before it all stopped again. 3 months later, here they come again. No biggie. I'm starting to enjoy this!

They make their money by selling to one of every 10,000 calls. It takes only a tiny percentage of fake orders to waste enough time for their entire marketing strategy to go bust. The salespeople get frustrated, make no commissions and quit. The company spends $1000 training another replacement. Their phone banks are stalled taking orders that only cost them money. Try it, its fun!

I also got a call from this number and another 6613803000 i picked up the second time, they started swearing at me and telling me not to pick up on numbers i dont know... Weird! How does something like this happens? Is there a way to block callers like these??

I also received  call from this number at exactly 9:30am 6/12/2012, I tried to call it back and it said my call could not be completed because I was calling a "skype" user.
My number HAS BEEN on the do not call list for years and just recently, About 3-5 months now im getting more and more way out numbers calling me!

I have been getting calls from this number for days.  Also getting different extensions - from 661-748-0244.  Then a few minutes later from 661-748-0240.  I never answer it, and there is never a message left.

These [***] are incessent; I hope they get run over by a phone company van.

This is just a number used by skype.  Nothing malicious about the number, just the douche nozzles who happened to be assigned it that time.

My son just got death threats from this number on his cell phone and I tried to call it back and it said cannot be called because it was a skype call.

Just got a call from 661-748-0240; was an Alpha A** with perfect English. Wanted to know our charges for hosting his new HUGE website - I sent him to GoDaddy. After reading the posts, either a prankster or is spoofing phone numbers.
