Not only did I receive a call from  661-748-0240 but  also 661-748-0245.  Didn't answer either and both went to vc mail with no msg left.

Just got a call from him asking about my mac which i just got repaired today asking me "what were you doing with it?" which i thought was strange for an apple employee to want to know. Then he said "I hate it when us genius's have to deal with you [***] people" so i just hung up assuming it was spam

but now im concerned that he got my information somehow from the apple store

I did call back and said the same thing. The called me 5 times within 2 days!!! Called from different numbers: 661-748 -0242 0240 0244

This Number is calling from someones IPad that they pay to use Minutes from Skype, so their able to make calls from their IPad. I hope this helps as I learned this tonight from Skype.

Just received call from this number. Did not answer and they did not leave message. Nowadays, these unwanted calls come several times a month, it used to be NEVER.

I think that I found out who the number belongs to. I was testing my Skype service and called my cell phone and 661-748-0240 was the number that show up on my cell phone. Since Microsoft owns Skype, I guess the number belongs to Microsoft.

Here's the deal with that number. It is used by Skype to route phone calls made from computers. It could be phoned from anywhere in the world, but this is the number that it displays when you get it. That's why you can never call it back. Don't sweat the small stuff... if it's a friend using Skype, they will leave a message.

TODAY, I GOT SEVERAL CALLS from this number at 08:03; 08:20; AND 8:40 P.M. today. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the phone number and let it go to voicemail. WHEN I DON'T RECOGNIZE AND THESE SCAM, OR WHO KNOWS WHO...INSIST IN CALLING, DON'T PAY ATTENTION, IT HAS HAPPENED BEFORE, I DON'T KNOW WHO GIVES THE NUMBER OR FROM WHERE THEY OBTAIN THE NUMBER...BUNCH OF IDIOTS CALLING......AND BUGGING.

Ok I don't feel to bad....knowing i'm not the only one getting calls from this number.  However, I called it back no answer, but it tell me that i can report it...so thats about to happen ....

A woman called from this number with an Indian accent wanting to verify information on an account she said my wife was opening and had put my name on.  I told her I would check with my wife first.  She then hung up.

THEY CALLED ME COUPLE OF TIMES.  WERE REALLY MEAN AND WERE USING BAD LANGUAGE.  BUNCH OF YOUNG "AS...LES". DON'T ANSWER AND NEVER BOTHER !

They called me tonight, I sent them to voicemail and they didn't leave a message, they just called right back! I was almost tempted to answer, good thing I didn't. Ni voicemail again. Hope they don't call back. How do these people obtain my phone number in the first place?!?

This must be a remote routing number..I did;t pick up my cell phone and received a voice message from a friend who was teaching a class in China!!!  Could be from a service like Skype..I know he uses it when abroad. Form the looks of the thread a variety of  different  callers have used it.

I also just received a call from this number.  I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message.  When I called the number (from a different phone), the recorded message said it was a SKYPE number and couldn't connect.

I just got a legitimate call from this number.  I had arranged a Super Shuttle pickup and I got a recorded message confirming my reservation.

I got a call no message and tried to call it back and it wouldn't go thru because its a skype uses...

This number has repeatedly called to of my friends threatening to beat them up and hospitalize them.
