- Tom C Zorn| 64 repliesCalled 11:45 A,N, 10 DEC 2008, didn't pick up, no message. Believed to be fake charity scam known as "Cure Clothing Pick Up," now using new 298 exchange. In past they have called from area code 678 with 405 exchange, numbers 3220, 3237, 9622, 9620, 9658, 9647, 3237, 9620, 9623, 9634, 9652, 9653, 9656, 9650. Sometime caller ID says "NSpire Atlanta," not be be confused with "Inspire Atlanta," which is probably legitimate.
- Caller: Cure Clothing Pick Up or NSpire Atlanta
- c replies to Tom C Zorn| 40 repliesI get 5 calls a week from this "charity" and no one is on the line. So, if they do not actually talk to me, how does the scam work?
- ECaller refused to identify who he was calling from, got belligerent when asked. Asked for unspecified donations, wouldn't tell me for who, or even what type of donations they wanted. He hung up on rudely when asked a second time to identify what company he was calling for.
- Ivan| 2 repliesstarted calling me recently , really annoying .. when I called the back , did not pick up the phone ...How do you get rid of these ???
- LauraThese people are driving me crazy - they call almost every other day!!!
- phoward47There is never anyone on the line. If they want my used clothes, find a better way. Calling me during dinner and hanging up is not scoring any points.
- GREGG| 21 repliesI am the executive director of the NSPIRE Atlanta program. My personal cell number is 678-462-3335. Call me with any concerns or questions.
Please note that we have around 25,000 people who commit to donate, clothes and household items per month. About 1/2 of the work force between callers and truck drivers are our clients. They want to do a good job. Sometimes a ball gets dropped, or their PR skills are not world-class. We are giving them an opportunity, a hand "up."
Thank you for your patience as they are trying to restore their lives. They are truly fantastic people, worthy of your suppport and generoisty.
Thank you! - NA| 2 repliesI am a brand new client of NSPIRE Atlanta. Within the first week, I received furishings for my room, groceries, hygeine products, a job in the call center, multiple counseling sessions, and they helped me sort out some legal trouble I was in. At 20 years old and no options, I need to get my life on track. NSPIRE is a God-send. - CG
I have graduated the NSPIRE Atlanta program. Within my 12 months, I started back to school to complete my teaching degree and am working part time for the organization in the evenings. I am 42 and was going nowhere, I feel hope again. I'm dreaming again. - VS
I was 7 months pregnant when I came to NSPIRE Atlanta in January. My baby was born healthy and is now 8 months old. I'm working, have dealt with my parole issues, have my own place, and am completing my GED. Thank God for this organization. It's the real thing. - LW
I was addicted and on the streets for 19 years. Through NSPIRE Atlanta I have stayed clean 12 months, am starting my own business, completed a certificate education program, bought my own truck, and have signed a lease on my own place. NSPIRE was the best thing that ever happend to me. It turned my life around. - WB
I was a client of this program. I was living on the streets and in women's shelters. After going through 10 months at NSPIRE Atlanta, I enrolled in CNA schooling and completed my certificaton. I now have a good job, a used, but reliable car, and signed a lease for my own apartment. My children live with me now. Thank you all for donating to this great cause. - JM
Thanks to NSPIRE, I went from living in a shelter, to working, enrolling in a technical college, and am now starting my own business. - GB
I am 120 days clean in this program...hasn't happened in 20 years. - RP - BabaRang and when answered could not hear anybody on the other end.
- Caller: None
- dougGo to hell. Stop calling me. Get a job, you parasite.
- Sandi MYou know, it's great if this company is legit and helping people. However, please do not call continuously especially when you have been asked multiple times NOT to. I will not donate to this cause because of the solicitation practices. Thank you.
- MeStarting to call here too! I do not do any business over the phone Period!
Go get a real job other than a telemarketing maggot! Lets call Gregs cell phone all the time to see how he likes it! I dont live in Altanta and really dont give a rats [***] about the bums and crack heads that do.
They dont even have the guts to identify themselves on caller ID.- Caller: Probably Nspire
- Call type: Telemarketer
- sanshieI called this Nspire guy last year and successfully got removed from their call list.....for a little while. Now, 6 calls this week. I've just called his cell and made a second request. I suggest everyone else do the same.
- Not a charity replies to GREGG| 1 replyI just got off the phone with the GA Secretary of State's office (I was calling to make a complaint) and they told me they have over 150 complaints against them and that they are not registered to make charitable solicitations as required by law. They told me that they are working to shut them down and that they have once but this hydra changed their organizational structure and re-opened.
- Not a charityI have checked both with the IRS and GA's Secretary of State and they are not a charity. To check with GA go to
https://secure.sos.state.ga.us/SBR_Weblookup_Prod/Search.aspx (where you can also file a complaint.)
To check with IRS, go to http://www.irs.gov/app/pub-78/
Just because they say they are, or even give a receipt as one person stated, does not make them a 501C3
organization. I can give you a receipt saying what you give me is tax deductible, but it doesn't make it so.
It's telling that only the IRS# is listed and not the GA charity registration #. IRS won't give info out on any
organization like GA will for charities. So nice dodge to say here is my IRS#.
And a legit charity would stop calling you if you asked.- Caller: Clothing Pickup aka Nspire
- Call type: Unwanted
- Big Bogus Charity replies to GREGGIf you want to verify this is a bogus charity, call the IRS at 877-829-5500 and give them their Tax ID# of 58-2468623 (which you can get at http://www.nspireatlanta.com/index.php?pageType=sub&pageID=85). This id# belongs to St David's Community Church. The IRS told me that if Nspire is soliciting under Nspire, they are committing a criminal act. I've made a complaint with the IRS which they said they will investigate criminally and also that they are going to look at the 501C3 status of the church.
Believe who you will, but feel free to call the IRS and ask yourself. - PaulThe calls have started again. Called me at 9pm tonight. That's a little late plus there is never anyone on the line. Find a better way you jerk! I will never donate due to the way you solicit.
- Caller: Clothing pickup
- Call type: Telemarketer

- Tom C ZornCalled 6:00 P.M. 26 MAR 09, 9:15 P.M. 26 MAR 09, 8:10 A.M. 27 MAR 09; I didn't pick up, they left no message. Believed to be fake charity scam known as "Care Clothing Pick Up," now using new 298 exchange. In past they have called from area code 678 with 405 exchange, numbers 3220, 3237, 9622, 9620, 9658, 9647, 3237, 9620, 9623, 9634, 9652, 9653, 9656, 9650. Sometime caller ID says "NSpire Atlanta," not be be confused with "Inspire Atlanta," which is egitimate. "Care Clothing Pick Up" was investigated by Atlanta newspapers and found to be passing on less than 5% of their earnings to [what they claimed were] charitable causes. (I have a telephone system that I can --- and have --- set to "no ring" for such callers, but the calls are registered on the Caller ID anyway.)
- Caller: [possibly] "NSpire Atlanta"
- NSPIRE Spamming here| 1 replyLooks like NSPIRE is spamming pretty heavy here. I see a lot of spin from people who say nothing about their calling repeatedly and harassing people. They are voting down messages against them and voting up their propaganda. Just like Hosea, all they are good at is lining their own pockets.
