- NANCY DOOKNIEI am receiving calls from this number that I'm not familiar with, so I don't answer the calls. Just want to
inform you about it. - Marmalade replies to Doug vV| 2 repliesDoug vV,
The CID info is transmitted between the first and second ring as an analog modem signal (V.22/Bell212 – 1200 bps V.21/Bell103 – 300 bps I can't remember which). It is just a simple text string, easy-peasy to decode. There are chips available just for this task. All this info is widely available and trivial to find. Are you sure you are an engineer? Wearing a funny striped hat, a red bandanna and bib overalls does not make you one, you know. - LessTalkMoreActionI just want them to stop calling my number. If you like them - ask them to call YOUR number. And if you want to promote what they do, do it somewhere other than THIS forum.

- Olin replies to LegitimateAlternatives| 4 repliesI was a client of the Nspire Outreach homeless program and they ARE totally legitimate. I was homeless on the streets after I got out of jail and they helped me get back on my feet. As soon as I got in I was given a job, a place to stay clothing and food. I was put into work out regiments, counseling sessions and other classes to improve my person. I currently have my own apartment and work customer service. I am also going to school to become a teacher. Please believe this program is real and the clothing given helps to make stories like mine possible.
- olin replies to NSPIRE Spamming hereThank you for your support. We apologize for any inconvenience that the calls have caused. The callers are not allowed to leave voice messages mainly because they are on an automatic dialer. There have been some glitches in the dialer system and we are currently working on that. However, the calls that DO go successfully help us a great deal in our goal to eradicate homelessness. We appreciate your clothing and reusable household items, they help us generate funds to keep this organization afloat.
- Olin replies to MikeI was a client in the program and EVERY bit of the money I made in the program I SAW. Yes they held your funds and supplied you with a fifty dollar stipend, but that fifty dollars was YOUR money and once the client goes through the financial classes they can get control of their OWN finances, as did I. I was able to pay for school, new glasses, clothes, probation, and other things I needed simply by writing a financial request form to pay for the things I needed. I was even able to purchase a laptop for school.
- Olin replies to MikeYes. There has been a low graduation percentage in the past, but that is based merely on the client. If someone is willing to do what is needed then they will graduate. Unfortunately a large majority of people who are homeless don't want to put in the work. However, recently (within the past two years) about twelve people have graduated. I was one of them and because of the program I was able to get my own apartment, something I didn't even think I was capable of doing.

Is there a do-not-call list for this "organization"?- Caller: NSPIRE
- RUTHI HOPE THEY STOP CALLING ME AT 8AM EVERY DAY!!!!!
- arpyCall from 678-298-2073. They call every day again. It had stopped for a few weeks. They called twice in a row tonight at almost 9 pm. They never leave a message.
In September of 2011 I bought a new Panasonic home phone. It has a call block feature that sends a busy signal to the caller and disconnects the call. The only bad thing is that the phone rings once. I guess it takes a second for it to get the caller id. It is still a nice feature though and the display says "Blocked Caller" or something like that. I had another phone where I could designate a "no ring" to any number I wanted. That was great because the phone didn't even ring. That' s two options to try and alleviate the nuisance.- Caller: NSPIRE
- GoingCrazyI get one (or more) calls from 678-298-2073 every day. It is VERY annoying, especially since I am on the "Do Not Call" list. Unfortunately, that list exempts charities and political callers. Heck, I don't want those calls either. Whenever I donate, I have my own list of organizations I give to. As for politicians, I watch the news like everyone else and keep up with the candidates. They should include ALL unsolicited calls on the National Do Not Call List. How annoying!

- BillyDSounds like shills from Nspire have infected this message board...much like Nspire infects our phones with unwanted calls.
I'm not in a position to say if Nspire does good work or whatever, but they lose about 100 point (out of 100) for making constant unsolicited phone calls. Worthy organizations don't resort to junk calls, so keep that in mind when reading the glowing "testimonials" from supposed unbiased beneficiaries on this message board.- Caller: NSPIRE
