Said I owed Paypal last months payment. When I had them look last months payment was made. Then they said I owed for August payment. With that I told them to have a nice day in India.

all my bills are paid on time.  I have a great credit score!  There is no need for these people to ever call me!  You might not be able to keep up with your bills, but many people can and have every right to get upset with someone calling about their bills all the time!

Do not call my number again. I have no business with you! I have no debt to your company. You have the wrong number and you are harassing me.

800notes is not affiliated with your callers, we are not calling you either. 800notes is a forum for reporting who calls you and any information you may have about the call to share with other forum users. It is highly doubtful that your callers are reading here also. We can't stop anyone from calling you either or remove from a list.

With that said, take some other steps here. Follow the steps in what you need to know, send a cease & desist letter via certified or return receipt USPS mail.  Also keep any messages, record any and all conversations according to your states recording laws. Those can be transferred over to a recording device. Also keep a notepad with the time & dates, and the highlights of the conversation. Take pictures of your CID.

Ok i got a call Too.
My account is NOT delinquent, and payment is NOT due for another 11 days. There is no reason for them to call..and it is ridiculous that so many of you assume its for "debt collection". I have never been late on this account.

yes according to the federal fair collections act they are only allowed to call between 8am and ether 8 or 9 pm it does not matter the day they can call any day of the week according to the fair debt collections act if you write the company trying to collect the debt and tell them to stop calling you they are suppose to stop if they don't you can report them to the FTC here is a link to consumer rights when it comes to fair debt collections  http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection

Keep getting calls from this number, I answer and there is no one there, will not leave message on machine.  Even calls after 8pm.

they call every morning and leave the following message,  "This is a recording .", and then ''say", "09" !!  Whatever that means.

This is a debt collection call for GE Capital/PayPal Credit or whatever they've changed their name to now

I've been getting calls from this number.  I called it back and it wants me to enter my account number, but since I don't have an account I can't enter a number.  Then it wanted me to give my SS number so they could look up my account.

Yes there are a few ways to get them to stop,one use the auto block to there number on phone.or in my case I pay the balance off a total of 7.50 yes u read that right and they still call me when I already paid it. now they get a a nice letter from my attorney explaining my intent to so based on harassment 37 calls one day!!! Can't disclose what me and my attorney are asking for but it will have several more numbers added to it like ifvi sat

Getting phone calls from this company multiple times a day, every day. They claim they are Paypal Credit-Synchrony Bank. I have told them to stop calling me that I have already reported them to Paypal for harassment and attempted fraud. I do not owe this company anything.

Called paypal, they said my account is up to date. Ignore any further calls. So go [***] yourselves and do your job properly. Guess you can't find a real job!

I see a lot of miss information on this thread. First off the phone #678 518-3097 is NOT from PayPal, it is a scam, to scare people into giving up your personal information. For those of you who do have an account with PayPal, go to PayPals actual web site and get their real phone number and contact them directly. Do not call any of the numbers that the callers leave, these numbers are spoofed numbers and can't be traced. The Do Not Call List WILL NOT WORK. These are simply criminals who are trying to steal your personal information. Don't be naive, if someone calls you claiming that you owe money don't answer, instead do your research, find out if the the number is real and not spoofed. Remember, credit card companies and banks all ready have your personal information, they don't to call you and ask for it. And for those who get theses calls from someone who you don't have an account with, this should be a red flag, it's a scam. With today's technology, it's so easy to trick people into giving up your personal information. And if you do owe money, make sure you know who your sending money to, you could be sending your money to a criminal.

Thank you, I looked here, but missed you post.  You are confirming my suspicions that is it is a fake # pretending to be pay pal.  I don't answer calls  from weird #'s I don't recognize or am not expecting.  I never give info over the phone anyways.  I'm a bit paranoid about this type of stuff.  they left me a voicemail & a toll free number & said I could go the the website. I did go the the site & saw nothing of concern. I did call paypal & they had no record of a call being made to me & nothing was wrong with my account.  The transferred me to paypal credit & the same thing & no one recognized the number so I'm about 99% sure it's a scam and glad I let it go to vm.

Repeatedly called from this number, ID is GE Capital. Called the main number for GE Capital, 1 (866) 218-8050, in Norwalk, CT to get on a do- not-call list. Rep said that they only handle business accounts and that if we had store credit cards we had to call 866-419-4096. At that number, supposedly Synchrony Bank, an automated answering system asked for my account number or credit card number. Since we have several store accounts, none of which are in default, I said that I did not know the number and I was not about to tell them all our store credit card numbers.  The response then was a request for my social security number, at which point I hung up. The alternative now seems to let the call block do it's job and put up with the ring 4 or 5 times a day.  There has to be a better way!
