We didn't recognize the # and let the answering machine pick up.  They left no message, so we knew the call was likely automated and "SPAM".  We are registered on the do not call list, so they need to be stopped.

This is a total SCAM. Pressed 1 and the person who pick up had a heavy middle eastern accent. I played along to get information and he said that he was from Argentina. (Yeah, right!) I continued to selectively answer his questions but refusing to give him my credit card#, however continuing to encourage him. Finally I  began speaking to him in El Español, which he didn't understand at all. I listened awhile longer and spoke to him in Arabic {أين أنت موجودة حقا؟} He understood that and responded in Arabic! Yeah buddy, let's give our credit cards to al qaeda to finance terrorism.

Got one from this number last night, boy they must have a ton on numbers they use, I have put many of them on call forwarding to the FCC complaint number. They just use another number....these last few times, the recording warned me that this is my final notice to lower my interest rate...so I pressed 1 and told the a$$hole that I had just received my final notice (in a nice voice), then I screamed that I hope that now they would quit  F'in calling me....of course they then hung-up.

This number will call 4-5 times in a row, on weekends and nights. There is no way to ask them NOT to call...even if I am on the do not call list.....

This must be a scam since they called my cell phone - a number that I never give out.  It was preceded by a call from 484-489-0922, a "political survey" about twenty four hours earlier.  I declined the survey but this would have triggered a valid number response.

They're very persistent and let it ring about 15 times.  I don't have my answering machine hooked up and do not answer.

Called at 4pm on a Saturday.  No ID for caller, they did not leave a message.  I didn't call them back - don't want to waste minutes based on what others have reported.

Additional information based on another post:

My call was also preceded by a political survey call a day or two before.  Did not get the number though.

I did not answer, and the caller left no message

I have been getting many calls recently from various numbers from various locations. When I answer, there is a taped message about my credit being an issue, and no human comes on line.

I am sure this is Spam/Junk/Telemarketers/Scam/ and or all the above. This is very annoying as my cell phone is provided my my employer and designated for the business of my employer only.

As others mentioned - A recording telling me of important information about my credit and then telling me i'm almost out time left in eligibility to lower an interest rate.

They call often and I think the number they call from changes each time.

They've been calling me for years! They always say my time is running out and this is my final notice. They want to lower my interest rate on my credit card. I DON'T OWN A CREDIT CARD!!! I've pressed whatever number they say to stop calls and it doesn't work and if I try talking to a representative, they hang up. They've called four times today and it is only 11 am! i'm on the no call list but they can be exempt because it is about a credit card.

Called me on my cell.  Credit services, can lower my interest rate, and that this is my last chance to do so....  But they always call back.  I spoke to "Pedro" who had a distinct Mumbai accent.

I kept on the phone for 22 minutes, I kept on asking him to repeat everything...  He tried his best to get my account information to transfer the balance, but I kept him on the ropes by telling him about my headaches and what my sister does that bothers her husband and what are the fees?

He finally hung up.  This is unfortunately the only thing that stops the calls... Keep them on for as long as you can... Drive up their costs.

It's a phishing scam, claiming to "help you lower your credit card interest rate."  It was a dead scam that someone has decided to resurrect (see http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2009/12/robocall.shtm).  If you answer the call and press '2 to discontinue further notices', it will connect you with an "operator" anyway, as if you pressed "1" to speak to a representative.  Calls from this number should be ignored.

(The administrators of this web site need to add "Scam" to the Call Type drop-down list.  Thanks.)
