I am in BC Canada and got a call today. No message

same here, today and I'm in NB!

I managed to bullcrap my way through to getting a return call number out of one of them by claiming to be in debt and wanting their services: 866 558-3503.   A google search shows that this belongs to the Vortex Debt Group based out of Melborne, Florida.   This looks like the right guys, because they`ve got reams of complaints and at least one class action lawsuit against them, and it looks like the real Consumer Debt Advocate is going after them too.

So far, calling them directly hasn`t stopped the calls though but if enough people tie up their lines, they might get a clue

They called today but of course left no message.  I'm located in southern Ontario.   I have now added them to my automated call block list in my phone.

Get this call about once a month, I live on a reserve in Northwest British Columbia, no one responds when I pick-up the phone. Too fricken funny, I could use a wood chipper up here in the North! I tracked it to Martin ND, Country: Sheridan?

got a message on my machine from this number - automated crap about helping with settling credit card debt... I'm in Montreal, QC. I guess do not call lists exclude junk calls from the US?

At 4:45pm just got a call from this number 701-625-5003 no answer at the other end. This is weird because I know no body from North Dakota . from Quebec City

Just got a call from 701 625 5003. Didn't pick it up as I did not recognize area code. Scammer most likely.

I received a call today Jan 10. 2011.from this number, also on Dec 13, 2010, they are offering lower interest rate on credit card debt....And prompting to pres 1 to talk to a manager, or press 2 to get taken off the calling list....I dont press anything, because I dont trust them to be telling the truth, about taking me off the list,,,That may in fact open a new pandora's box.....I live in Ontario Canada, and I am registered with the DO NOT CALL list.....I still get several unsolicited calls per month.....Couple of months ago, I tackled one telemarketer about this, and he said, that he was not breaking the law, because he was calling from the United States, on contract for Canadian company... So how can you beat crooks like that......Of course I am NOT registered with the American DO NOT CALL, system, because I live in Canada....I hope that they'll get the message some day, because I woudn't give a telemarketer any bussines under any circumstances

I received one call also today. I didn't answer..I am in french zone of Québec near Percé.

Called my CDN-registered "Do Not Call" land-line number at 12:46 PST.
My voice-mail recorded: ... calling you at all hours, because you're behind on your bills and you need to know that you're not alone.  Here in Canada, credit card companies are accepting reduced settlements from people just like you. [snip] Press 1 to connect to a counseller right now [snip]

Since I have Shaw Telephone, I used <star><six><zero> to add that number to my personal "blocked" list. So, the next time they call, my telephone will _NOT_ ring.  :-)

I just got it here in Texas. I use a service that allows me to BLOCK calls that I do not want to have ring through. I guess I will add this number to that long list now.

Got a call from this #, another telemarketer. I'm in Ontario Canada. Go to service canada web site and their is a national D.N.C (Do Not Call) list. You can take yourself off all telemarketer lists that way, but it does take a few weeks before they all stop calling. Apparently if they do call you after you have been added to the D.N.C. list you can actually sue them. :)

This number keeps calling about creditors and leaving long messages, all automatic.

This makes me so angry and sick! When you report these calls to all the appropriate organizations that are supposed to protect our privacy and save us from harassment, they pass the buck off to one another and claim that they have no jurisdiction over calls from outside your province! What a bunch of phooey! We too live in Saskatchewan and just got our phone hooked up with what is apparently a number that has not been in service for about a year, the lady said when I called to have it set up!

Start bombarding all of your apparent "helpful" government agencies with calls five or six times a day and see what happens!! Calls not for scamming, but for complaints of scamming for each time you get one!

Maybe, just maybe, if everyone did this, they would make a concerted effort to stop it!

This 701-625-5003 (out of area) long distance automated call is a scam about trying to get your credit information, trying to cause people to panic about their possible unsecured debt and credit cards.

They request that you press 2 to talk to a counsellor. The problem is that they do not once ever identify themselves as any person, or company, nothing!

If you try calling back....you get a recording that says all circuits are busy now please try your call later.

Just hang up and then bombard the Government of Canada, RCMP, No Call List, everyone that the other "helpful" agencies will try to pass you off to!

Then start all over letting them know that none of them are taking any responsibility in dealing with the constant telemarketing scams or other harassing calls!

These people/companies need to be charged! And not just a few hundred dollars.....but shut down their call centres & phoney business and hit them with a fine of hundreds of thousands of dollars - to millions of dollars, or identity theft that they may be scamming from gullible people!
