Received a call from this number Dec 6, 2010 - no one on other end. I'm in Cape Breton NS.

I just received a call from this number. Didn't answer the phone. Figured it was some sort of scam. I live in Newfoundland, Canada.

I have been recieving the same call.I figured it was telemarketing so I did not answer.I have been getting the same number coming up about 2 or 3 times now.I was curious where it was from and found out it was from North Dakota as well.

These "companies" will not comply with any do not call lists. There is no way to stop them. They are most likely advertising as "Debt Solutions" because they want you to give them personal information.  OR they will get your financial information and offer you a loan to pay your debts, But they will Require a deposit. They act and speak like they are for real, but after you pay the deposit they disappear.  
 
I know this because I worked for 2 guys running the same scam.  They were advertising in the U.S. for Guaranteed Loans. They used 800 numbers and when you called, they Actually put everyone through an application process. Sometimes they would wait a week before calling back to confirm or decline your application. (even though it's a scam they still decline people to enhance the lie)  It took the RCMP 2 years to track these guys down with co-operation from the Local Police, the FBI, and Secret Service.  They could never prove the amount they stole, but it was Around $120,000. ( the RCMP tagged it around $60,000)  

So, never do business over the phone. Never under any circumstances. EVER! :)  I realize most of you know this, or you wouldn't be here. But sometimes people do silly things out of desperation.

Oh, And the reason most calls originate from the U.S. is due to the fact that it is so much harder for the Police to track them down. Then trying to gather evidence against them is extremely difficult, and in some cases impossible.

Got 2 calls from this # today, didn't pick up cause I didn't recognize it. They didn't leave a message. I'm in Yarmouth, NS

answer the phone and when noone will say anything, hit the # key about 7 times.  Screws them up and they won't call back

They called and the caller ID displayed Savings Center, I did not pickup and they did not leave a message.

Today they called another Canadian in Newfoundland.  Stick to North Dakota when you want to sell unwanted products

It was a medicare supplement workshop by united american insurance company.  I'm in Ft Lauderdale FL and just get a voicemail from them.  I did used to be in the insurance field. They must have gotten my number from the states website...

2 calls - one on 12/06/10 at 3:16 pm and the other on 12/07/10 at 4:58 pm....no message.....Nova Scotia, Canada. I was really surprised to find all these comments about this phone #.

I too, got a call from this number...but, as usual, I don't answer unknown numbers because of scammers.

Just got a call from 701-625-5003,picked up no one there called back and asked me if i wanted to stop getting these calls puch 1 and your taken off their list.I'll wait a few days to see if they do call back.

Halifax here, too. Almost daily calls; shows up on voicemail, too, but no message.

Would looove to get a live person on the other end to interrogate 'em.

It was an automated call offering to help me obtain part of $40 billion in government grants. A grant is presumed to be "free money." Of course, governments expect something to be returned for the grant investment and there are consequences for failing to deliver.  The message asks me to push 1 to speak to an agent. push 2 to be taken off the list. I pushed 1 and was shunted to another automated message asking me to leave my name and number. I hung up. Caller ID is "Savings Center." This is scam. With a little effort anyone can search government on-line listings for RFP's and grant offerings -- federal government, state-by-state, and local municipalities. No doubt there is a fee for either finding "grants" or filing out paperwork. While a "newbee" could certainly benefit from doing all the paperwork necessary to apply, organizations such as "SCORE" can also help. Hardly any applicant gets to the point of consideration the first few times it applies because the applicant lacks the underlying qualifications. The grants I participate in have a very low acceptance to application rate. Bottom line odds, metaphorically: of getting a government grant through the efforts of companies such as this is about the same as hitting the lotto jackpot or being struck by lightening.
