I think they got my number when I applied for credit through SonyStyle.com. They use GEMB for their financing.

If you are on the Do Not Call registry, make sure you report them https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx  The more complaints, the better.

This number has been calling me frequently the past few weeks. They never leave a message, just hang up when then machine kicks on

Same thing here - why am for the past week getting all these bazzar long distance calls - HOURLY??  Let me know what you find out - I'm on the no call as well!

You can also call your cell phone provider and block the calls.  Verizon will only block 5 at a time.

Recived this call on my cell phone today.  Like all calls I don't recognize, I didn't answer.  They left no message.

I've received at least 2 calls on my home phone (landline) from this 701 number and am also on the DNC list.  I'll take your advice and file a complaint.  Thanks!

I get up to 3 no answer calls from that number per day.

By reporting unsolicited, annoying, scam calls to the Do Not Call Registry gets the calls stopped -- really.  I reported two numbers and within weeks the calls have stopped.

I just answered put it on mute to see it they would speak.. I didn't say HELLO. But they did; He said "Hi, this is Tom from home protection." ..... "Hello? Hi, this is Tom from Home Protection...... Are you there?" then he hung up. ;) GIVE THEM HELL RIGHT BACK!!!

Just started getting phone calls from this number. What happened to the No Call Phone List? It doesn't seem to working very well.

Received two calls today, no message

Police in Colorado advised me to never return a call to any telephone number that I do not recognize.  These are computerized marketing calls; when you return the call by dialing that number, the marketing company's computer clicks on and registers that your telephone number is indeed active and that you do return calls (whether or not you want them).  Unless the number dialed by the marketing company is your business phone, you rarely (according to the police) get calls from telephone numbers you do not recognize.  If the unknown caller has a legitimate purpose for calling you, he or she will leave a legitimate message; if no voice mail is left or especailly if the voice mail is unclear, it's usually a marketer.  Generally, these marketing calls fade away after awhile and never call again if you do not activate the computer by dialing their number.  Perhaps you don't feel you can avoid returning a call to an unknown telephone number, and you certainly have that right so you don't worry you're missing an emergency call from a loved one.  I'm just saying I took the police officer's advice and never return a number I do not recognize, and it's worked well for me.  Everyone has a different solution, and I just wanted to add this one to the list.

i got a bunch of calls from this number over two days, but didn't answer.  by the third time within 2 hours on the second day (yesterday), i finally answered, but didn't say anything.  when "tom" started talking about home protection, i interrupted by saying "you are making an illegal call and i'm going to report you".  he hung up and hasn't called back.

I don't know- there is a local air conditioning service that calls me about once a month. I have never done business with them, and have reported them to the DNC list multiple times over a 12 month interval, but they just keep calling. I finally added them to my blocked list. I personally think the DNC list is useless.

I have received at least two calls from that number on a new cell phone.  They say they are from Tom's Home Protection.  My number is on the Do Not Call Registry.  I have also requested that they not call me.  My requests have been ignored.
