These [***] have called my cellphone 3 times in the past 2 days. I just answered and heard a very English speaking young man try to sell me home security. Told him he "called my cellphone" and to "remove my number from his call list immediately". He said he would. We'll see...

omg, as i was calling and pressing 1 to get put on their do not call list, I had an incoming call from them on the other line!!

They have called me 4 times in the last 26 hours, and 3 times in the last 3 hours.  At no time did they leave a voicemail message.

I answered on the last call, and it took more than 5 seconds for a live person to come online.  It was some Home Security company trying to sell me a free home security system in exchange for a sign in my yard.

I reported them to TexasNoCall.Com and DoNotCall.Gov.

It's called my Pennsylvania-based (215 area code) cell phone once a day for two days now. I ignore it, no message is left.

I have been receiving calls from this number to my cell phone in the last couple of weeks.  When I first answered, there was no response and the call terminated.  I didn't pick up for the next few days as I continued to get calls, but just now I answered again to see if there was anyone on the line, and they hung up again.

yes, I have been called 6 times this past week. One time there was a small boy in the background calling for "Grandma" which is who I am to my 5 year old grandson...........scary.

I was just called for the 3rd time today and my daughter's voice was in the background. How are they doing this. Earlier it was my grandson's voice in the background. they are trying to sell a security system for my house.............

Said, Hello, this is Jessie with Modern Home Protection, how are you today and I hung up.  Like I would really ever do business with any company that cold called me, that is just like responding to a spam message telling you that you have won the Nigerian Sweepstakes!

Just got a call from them.  Didn't pick up.  No voicemail.

The one time I answered (by accident, more than a month ago) the guy said his name was "Tom" too, LOL!   They've stopped calling my cell (at least I think so) and are now calling my Google Voice number.   Just got a call this morning on that line.  Have already reported them to the FCC, as I am (like many of you) on a do not call list.

Both 701-625-5444 and 760-343-5201 are related... It is a out of control bill collector, under the name of CPS,  that likes to threaten people with jail time if they don't pay their bills.

I get these calls at least once a week and it is so awful.  This is my cell phone - leave me alone!

Apologies to the other poster who is also using the FedUp handle...didn't know there were two of us (I will change the handle the next post, if there is one).  

At any rate, just got my second call of the morning.  They got my Google Voice number somehow and are now calling it, instead of my cell.  

After the call, I went in to Google Voice settings and told it to BLOCK CALLS from this number.  Hee hee. The next time they call in, they will hear "this number is no longer in service".  

If you get a GV number, you can forward your cell and home phone numbers to the GV number, then set it to block calls from any number you wish.  Those blocked callers are greeted with ''this number is no longer in service'').

Problem solved.  I also reported them to the FCC as stated earlier.

Most people are reporting the first number is from "GE" and about installing a "free" home security system, not about debt collection.  For what it's worth...

What have you seen that makes you think they are related?  Tx.

One more thing...about GV blocking the forwarded home and cell numbers...you will have to fiddle with it to make sure that works.  I know for a fact GV will block the call that goes directly TO the GV number.  I am assuming it will block if it's a forwarded call too, but have not tested that out.

I got this call on my cell phone. It was an interactive voice system. After I said "Hello" twice, the guy says "Hi, I'm calling from Home Security. How are you today?" and I said, "Fine, how are you?"  And he says, "Great, thank you."  Then he starts his spiel about giving me a free wireless home security system if I'll put a small sign in my yard.  As he was talking, I started to suspect it was a recording.  Just by the sound of it.  So I just sat there.  Then I said "How do you know I have a yard?" and his answer didn't make any sense, and I knew for sure it was a computer.  I tried saying "Don't call me again" and he actually then responded with an apology for bothering me, and a promise to remove me from their list.

We'll see if that works.

Second time in three hours today.  Called yesterday - no one on the line, but they need to leave me alone.

Keep receiving calls from this number. They won't leave a msg.
