same thing just happened to me. I have no idea what to do.

I too get alot of these calls and have done the same as I have just read here.
I seem to be having the same kind of thing happening with my emails, but they show up looking like one of my contacts has sent me a message. When I open it there is a link to click onto. All spam. When I add them to my spam list I still receive them. I know for a fact that these did not actually come from my contacts. Even though the return email is theirs, but I will also often see cc: that went to many of my other contacts names. What is going on?

I say we go online and register this number with every marketer requesting your information.  Let's see if they like getting calls from other scammers!

I keep getting this call from 701-625-5444, calling me several times a day for the past few days and it is driving me nuts.  Some recorded message with "Tom from home security.."  How do we make them stop??

I received three calls from them in 4 hours and a lot more on other days.  I sent the number to the FCC website to report them because I was on the DNC list.  The FCC e-mailed me back that there was no violation.  No wonder these calls keep coming and coming.

They call me at least once a week from 701-625-5444.  Yesterday they called me three times within an hour. Then immediately after I ignored those calls, another number (701-661-1006) tried calling three times as well. Its aggravating because its my cell phone and my phones constantly ringing. It gets annoying.

Got a call from this number.   Ignored it.  They left no message.

They have called all weekend on my cellular that is a DNC number. The number that it's linked to is 202-709-3480 - someone is trying to cloak their calls.

I rent my home. This home security group has called me at least six times, and every time I tell them I rent and to take me off their list.

Today I had laryngitis. I tried repeating the name of the guy who called, "Tom," to get his attention. He kept talking for a while, but then he started responding to me.

The weird thing was, even though I kept saying "Tom," he would respond as though I had said, "Yes," to his questions. Eventually, his inflection reminded me of one of those voice-activated phone trees. This was pretty much confirmed when he told me that he was all ready to line up a call with a "specialist" and just needed me to confirm that I owned my home.

When I said, "No," the call was ended.

Either these guys are working off a script and *never* deviate, they have a computer system that anticipates responses, or they have a sound board and a guy pressing the appropriate buttons on the other end. Whoever I just talked to did not respond like normal human beings would to a guy simply croaking their names over and over.

It's a home security co. wanting looking for setting up dealers in 'your area', and want's to you to put up a yard sign on your lawn advertising their company.


Report the number, but it probably won't do any good.

Too bad, as one poster stated, there's not a place where thousands of people could call these people and jam their lines. Unfortunately, that would also lead to someone harassing someone for no reason at all.

The owner of this number needs to be harassed....

for those with an iPhone or smart phone here's a quick fix:

In your address book create a new contact, name it Blocked calls or Silenced calls.

Fine a silent ring tone on the internet, some have been created for this very purpose. Assign the silent ring tone. When you get a call as reported above, copy the number and paste into the Blocked Calls or Silenced calles.

When that number calls, the phone dosen't ring.. add as many phone numbers in the Blocked Calls address.

This is the address and office telephone number of these people who keep calling and hanging up on me.  Please use this number and address when addressing your complaints.  They ought to have their information given out to other cold call places to get even.

As others have mentioned the 701-625-5444 is an agent of Vivint 801-765-5976.  I called Vivint and spoke to a representative who was not aware that the company was even doing so and was very helpful in making sure that I was removed from the list they have. I have yet to get any more automated calls since.

You can call em back and press 1 to be put on the do not call list.. just did, lets see what happens.
