I started receiving multiple calls on my cell from this number yesterday, 1/24/13.  Unusual given the location and the fact that I use my cell for business and do not give the number out, but to people tied to the work I do.  By the end of the day I had received probably a dozen calls from this number; four where while I was in a conference call on my cell phone.

Already this morning I have received multiple calls from this number.  Each time there is no answer and when I try to call back to demand that they stop using my number, there is a brief voice recording stating nobody is available to take my call and it hangs up.

This is interrupting my work and needs to stop.  Does anyone know what company this number belongs to?  How can we force them to stop?

These guys, Howard Alvarez and Jeff Torres, are commonly based out of south Florida. They have been running scams from mortgage asistance to home security for a number of years now. They list business offices, but don't actually work there. They use a business address for a few months, and then ditch it for the next. They are currently in hot water with the New Hampshire Banking Dept. for mortgage fraud, and found guilty for the same thing in Florida. The problem is they are found guilty, but nothing can stop them from opening a new company and doing the same thing (according to the Florida Attny General). They are just given a "Cease and Desist" order. That's all. I currently reside in Florida, and am attempting to locate them. If anyone else has any info on them, please post.

I have been receiving calls from these 'card services' telemarketers for over a year now. I have been blocking each number they have called with (over 35 at this point). And I have been filing complaints with the FTC Do Not Call Registry and the FCC complaint site, to no avail. I do suggest you all do the same, and do not talk to them or call them back.

But to really get some attention, I created a petition on the White House We The People site. Please go there and sign it, we have to get the word out any way we can:

hey i have received many calls from a company so called "EVO Security" but it isnt this one, i actually walked in to this business and requested to be taken off the list thinking it was them, they informed me they have nothing to do with credit cards and that they dont even take personal information such as SSN and credit card information... i didnt believe it and requested to sit in and listen for myself since i am tired of getting phone calls from these people.... this company is an alarm company, not a debit consoledator or w.e. the case and i did listen in on their calls there was no personal information shared and no payments taken... We gotta find out who  those other basturds are.....

Hello. Back in 09' I was scammed from Torres. I didn't loose a lot, but enough to piss me off. I've been follow their business movements with the hopes of locating them to collect what they took, but haven't yet. It's only a matter of time.
