Called my phone. No one answered when I picked up. I have no idea who they are!

I have no idea who they are; or what they want. I don't answer unrecognized numbers and they don't leave messages - it works for me.

I have received many calls from this number over a year now, no one ever says anything and I hang up.  I finally called their 800 number  800.824.6191 (First National Collection) and told a representative that I was very tired of receiving calls from their 702-964-1996 and having no one ever once responding to my answering the phone.  She told me who they were looking for and I told her truthfully that he was my son and that he was in prison for many years.  She assured me that they would remove my phone number from their system in relationship to him.

Phone ran this morning, I answered, line was silent.  I called the number back, a lady answered First National Collections - Las Vegas, NV.  I hung up, and blocked the call.

I received the call, but no one answer at other side at 3:30pm today. it appears some one put down the phone at calling side.

Called and asked if I was circumcised! WTF!

This # could possibly be hooked up with LTD COLLECTIONS in Houston Texas. Received back to back calls over my deceased mothers VISA CARD. I sent LTD Collections a certified CEASE and DESIST order...will have to do the same for First National Collection Bureau @
1.702.964.1996. LTD'S phone # is: 1.800.741.2100. Play by the rules... by placing them on notice properly...

I believe this to be a botware for tele-confirmation. Likely some one is compiling lists to sell to telemarketing firms. They may be calling multiple times per day to gather "value" data to factor "best contact times". you wouldn't believe some of the tactics employed by these kinds of dirt bags.

They call every day, never leave message.  They call on weekends & sometimes after 9 pm!

Received a call about 15 minutes ago. I answered and the line was silent, don't know what type of business does this excels scams. I called them back, when I asked what company they were she identified the name as First National Collections (she rushed through the word collections so fast hard to understand). I ask what this was in regards to her reply was "It's a personal business matter" then she says is this Diana .... I replied "I'm sorry but Diana does not take calls from Personal Business Matters. Please do not call the number again or I will turn you over to the Feseral Government National Do NOT Call". She started spitting out that I can't do that I hung up on her.
I have felt with this company's b/s for a quite a few years. Turns out they are trying to collect on something that has already come off my credit report and no longer colectable. There is a word that describes companies like this. I think it is junk collection not positive I would have to look it up.
Check they even tried to come after me after my mother died. Told them to take her estate to court there was nothing their. Tried saying I was legally responsible. Told them not unless I was married to her or names executor of her estate which no one was. Took them 3 years to get it through their heads with the help of the Attorney General before they stopped harassing me.

"you over to the Feseral Government National Do NOT Call"."  Doing that will get you nowhere because debt collectors are not covered under the DNC.  They have their own law called the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.  Being off your credit report means nothing.  Now, you have put up with this for years you done something about it?  Have you sent them a letter, certified, return receipt?  Have you filed a complaint with the CFPB?  And most importantly have you consulted with a lawyer and filed suit against them?  Especially since you have a very, very good case against them?  So this is what you need to do and what you need to know.  Take the advice or put up with the harassment.  Your choice.

You need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation, cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Why does this person call and say nothing?

Keep getting these calls in the morning and they NEVER answer, very annoying.

This is the correct business for the phone number calling people.  Our police department has them on record for the exact type of calls.

Looks like nothing changes with the passage of time.  I've received two calls this morning I answered and no one was there both times. I'm blocking this number
