I Get this call from Triangle Va, number 170-329-9047 about five to six times a day. Each time I hit the option to be taking off the list, but each day I get the call anyway. When I trace the call by hitting my caller ID all I get is another voice recording option to take them off the list, but the calls continue. When I tried fooling them by hitting the interesting in getting more options #2 and a real live person comes on, as soon as I even start to utter, Take me off the list, they just hang up and I'm talking to space. The operator told me there is no number. So I don't know if these people are calling from out of the country or what, but beware and forewarned. They are not legitimate by and means nor nice.

Every evening around dinnertime, without fail, this robocall from "Rachel at card services" phones.  I've tried everything I can think of to make them stop.  (The DNC list in NY is a joke.)  I pressed 1 and got a guy on the line.  I begged him to leave me alone, as my dad is in hospice in my home. That particular day, I actually began to cry while talking to this person.  He said he would take me off their call list, but that was weeks ago.  If anything, the calls have escalated to twice a day. If I press 1 and wait for a person, somebody usually comes on the line.  When I ask nicely to not be called, they hang up mid-sentence.  If I yell at them, they tell me to calm down, then hang up on me. I don't know of a more persistent or more evil bunch of scammer/harrassers than these. Isn't there anything I can do to make the stop?

Beware, even if you use *67 to block your number from their caller id, they still receive it and blatantly speak it back to you as if to mock your efforts to block it!!! No caller id block available when calling this number!!!

Ahhh! I finally pressed 1 to talk to a person. I played along like I wanted to lower my interest rates. Then asked for the name of their company "Card Services" was their reply. I said my girls had just started fighting and I had to go, but could I please have a phone number or website to get more information. I was asked to give them my cc #. I said I didn't have it handy, but I was interested, so I wanted their information. I was told that they are not allowed to give out any of their company information until I had given them my cc # and became qualified. OK - Let me get this straight, you want me to give you my cc information yet I can't have a single piece of information about you???? What a scam.  Scary part is that some people actually do it!

Good job on playing along and trying to get information.  These guys are obviously outside the law. And yes I think this is very scary. At least you can take consolation it the fact that you kept them tied up for a bit.  I have difficulty in playing along. For example I would immediately question the company name they gave, by asking for an address and my tone would give me away and they immediately hang up. I have thought the same thing: make up an excuse that you have to run but are very interested to try to get a real telephone number. Then I would publish the number here.

I think someone should ask for more information then tell them you are going to inform the FBI.  If they are harassing so many innocent people I think this is fair.

I missed the call but remembered getting a previous call from Virginia that was a solicitation.  After googleing the unknown #,I got this site.  Thanks all for the heads up!  I've now saved the # naming the entry "DO NOT ANSWER".  :)

They call constantly.  They leave an automated message telling me this is my "final notice" to lower my interest rates.  Apparently, by "final" they mean  "never ending."

They call me at my work number multiple times per day.  I work at a federal govt. office.  Apparently they're robocalling all possible phone numbers, not just residential/cell lines.  Report them for do-not-call list violations, notify law enforcement of their [criminal] efforts to solicit credit card numbers.

I got an automated call from 703-291-9047 and selected 1. Person said she was from Card Services, and calling to reduce interest on Visa and Mastercards to 6.9%. I thought because of all the 'help the consumer' stuff going on in the economy, perhaps it was a legit offer. Was initially hesitant, but she said she would only check in the system and make sure things were fine, and then send info in the mail. So I gave in and provided my info. I could hear lots of voices in the background, so thought its a legit call center. She wanted my cc#, ssn last 4, asked for the 1-800 number behind the card, date of birth, address. I gave all of that. She went offline, then came back and said she had verified that card was in good standing, then asked me my current interest rate. It was 2.9%. Soon as she heard that, line went dead. Soon as I put the phone down, I called Bank of America and asked if they had a campaign going on. They said no, and cancelled my card. They were pretty understanding about the whole thing.

I have had enough of these people calling my house 5 times a day and being abusive when I want off their call list.

The 703 area code is in Virginia in an area covered by Verizon. I chatted with a rep there & they told me that number was covered by Nationsline, Inc. As below:

I called Nationsline (a rinky dink outfit) and chatted with a CS rep named
Francis who said that they cannot "release" information without a police report or in the case of a business (which supposedly they are) insure my phone number is in the national do not call registry and then I can report them to that entity if they persist.

I have had enough. I am going to chase these "card services" characters down and expose them to the light of scrutiny. And you can be sure I will be disseminating their corporate identities far and wide!

    Did a reverse lookup here:
    https://secure.whitepages.com

    (703) 291-9047 is Unpublished or Unavailable
    Type: Land Line
    Provider: Level 3 Communications
    Location: Triangle, VA
Due to number portability, some numbers have been transferred to a new service provider.
Type: Land LineProvider: Level 3 Communications Location: Triangle, VA , RESTON, VA

With a map indicating a location (probably just the city of Triangele) on hwy 1 just north the hwy 619 intersection.

http://www.ussearch.com gave a reverse lookup result and confirmation  via utility billing (cost me $20.00, but I’m after these idiots so I don’t care)

    Reported Addresses 1
Name on Phone  SALES DEPT (look familiar to anyone??)
    County     Fairfax
    City   RESTON
    State VA
    Zip 22090
    Phone  (703) 291-9047

    Phone Company Information:
Name and Location:    LEVEL 3 COMMUNICATIONS, LLC - VA, VA
    Rate Center:    TRIANGLE
    Phone Switch Name:
    Phone Switch Type:    EN4
    zip:22090 state:VA
    city:RESTON

Now we know the that the company is Level Three communications, LLC.
The question is, who do we call and thrash or report to the BBB??
