got a call around 5pm on sunday. caller id read virginia. voice mail message said george w. bush!  when i called the number back 10 min. later, it was disconnected. what tha?

HI Rick, I am not certain where you live, I am in NH, I got the same call.  After seeing your post, I tried calling the # back, same as you disconnected.  However my caller ID said Unknown, they left a msg, saying it was a survey and was I happy with George W. Bush.  
Our primary is this Tuesday, so we are gettings all of the calls, this one however should not have happed, I am reporting this one to my Attorney Generals office.  If you go to 411.com and enter they number, it shows as belonging to,

Got the same call. I didn't answer it. I did a google search to find the same information as you all found. I'm in NH too. Whoever is wondering how Bush is doing, they should look at how he's done more damage to this country then any other president & realize he's on the way out. Or is he on his way out? Just some rumor I've heard that he will be trying to stay in office. Paranoid stuff? I don't know! But after hearing about that a couple of days ago (not from online), then getting this call. I'm just trying to make sense of it. Whoever made the call,,,I agree with Rachael and this call should never have happened.

As a lot of NH people are receiving these annoying calls, The reason it says disconnected is that the caller has ONE WAY calling, can only call out, cannot receive calls. How's that for MAJOR ANNOYANCE. Report the number to the Attorney General in Virginia as an annoyance call. for the next two days I set my ans machine answer only, no one can leave a message.

I am also in NH, got this call two times so far today.  Also tried calling back, disconnected.  Can't wait for the voting tomorrow to be over... the calls are crazy.  Hilary Clinton calls us all the time too.. It makes me not wanting to vote.

I am a registered democrat living in NH. These calls are puzzling - and annoying. They call several times per day - sometimes as late as 9:30 or 10:00 pm. (I also get calls from Huckabee! I mean, can't these people read??) Am I happy with George Bush? Am I happy with a case of stinging hemorrhoids? I get more aggravating calls from them than from the people in my own party. I am not a swing voter... Why call me? It is like David Duke calling African American votes.

I'm in Dallas and have been getting these calls all week.  It's very frustrating.  They never leave a voice mail.  I wish I could block this number from connecting to my line.  Anyone know how to do that?

I am in michigan and have gotten a phone call from 703 961 1077 2 times in the last half hour.  now that I know what they want I will answer, lol.

Received a call at 6:45pm 1-8-08, the line was dead, hung up. Did a Google and found this page.

I live in MI and just got a call from this #. Said Virginia on caller ID. They left no message. I will not be answering no matter how many times they try and call. Thanks for all the info everyone.

I got the same call tonight and i'm in Michigan.  caller id simply said virginia and then the number.  I didnt get to the phone because I was busy.  When i tried calling it back it said it was disconnected.

Call received at 15:13 9 January 2008. Immediately cradled the telephone when I realized it was a nuisance call. Called the number and it is supposedly a non-working number?!

Same issue as all.  Received the call 2 minutes ago from 703-961-1077.  
Virginia in caller ID.
VM stated it was a political survey and they may call back at another time.
Googled and found this site.

Talked to people - calls also going out to Colorado, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, and Ohio...

Same call in MI answered and no one on line.

I got the call tonight, and I'm in MI. I actually hung in there and listened to the entire call, responding to the prompts in order to get to the end to maybe catch a source.  It was a Push Poll in support of Huckabee, from some organization called Common Sense Issues.  A quick Google search found this article about it: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2007/12/18/huck ... on_n_77418.html
Push Polling is an unethical campaign practice and at the end the call says it is not endorsed by Huckabee, but this huffingtonpost article seems to have other information.  Hope I don't get the call again!
